- Conduct research on Middle East and North Africa country of origin information (COI) and assist in maintaining a local repository of relevant information, guidelines and standards accessible to protection staff in the operation;
- Develop a Position Paper on Livelihoods and Local Integration of Syrian refugees in urban settings;

- Liaised with the Government for the collection of age, sex, and nationality-disaggregated data on asylum claims and refugees in Brazil, and prepared monthly statistics;
- Organized awareness raising activities and advocacy campaigns in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice;
- Drafted protection reports to inform donors, the Government, and UNHCR Regional HUB and HQ;
- Conducted individual case management of protection cases and referrals to assistance and services as appropriate;
- Conducted and supported RSD and protection training activities for national eligibility officials and partners.
