As Project Engineer
I am sole responsible to handle the complete project starting from Cost Estimation to handover.
Responsibilities in Brief
Estimating the Cost of project based on the design & scope of work by calculating all the direct & indirect cost incurred in the Project.
Preparing Job Order for the approved Jobs based on Scope of work.
Preparing Bill of Materials & Resource planning for the approved Jobs & issuing the Bill of Materials to the Purchase department, Stores & Production department.
Sending a request to reliable Sub Contractors to quote for sub-contracting elements if any & comparing for the best among them. Making negotiations for the best price & putting that in front of Management for their approval to send the LPOs.
Coordinating with Purchase department to procure the right material on time.
Coordinating with stores while issuing the raw materials for production, to maintain the separate material account for each project. Which helps in comparing the final cost of raw materials used for project once after completion.
Instructing our production team to use the materials as specified in Bill of Materials to produce the final product.
Continuous super vision on the production to avoid the Quality issues & to complete the project as per scheduled timeframe.
Updating the status of all the projects to Managing Director via Gantt chart.
Coordinating with Client to make the site ready & to avoid the delays which normally occurs while Installation or Build-ups
After successful completion of project taking the Job completion certificate cum feedback form from client.
As an Estimation Engineer
I am sole responsible in Miraj to handle all the Cost Estimations, Quotations & Bill of Materials for all the three regions (Miraj Media Dubai, Miraj Graphics Bahrain & Miraj Arabia Saudi)
Responsibilities in Brief
Preparation of BOM which will be useful for the following:
1. Stores: to know the availability of raw material in store & updating the BOM as per availability & to co-ordinate with purchase department to arrange the raw materials according to the updated list. And also to maintain the records of raw materials issued to a particular project.
2. Purchase dept.: to arrange the raw materials on time as per the required specification.
3. Production dept.: to get the raw materials from stores required for production.
Preparing the BOQ’s/ list of deliverables which will be useful for Logistic Dept. to arrange the materials accordingly to deliver the goods to customers on time without fail.
Co-ordinating with the following teams:
1. Sales team to understand the proper scope of work (SOW) & communicating with client to make sure that we are quoting exactly for what they are looking.
2. Stores to utilize the raw materials which is already available with us.
3. Purchase department to procure the required material on time to improve the productivity.
4. Production team to make them understand the technical drawing & guiding the team in a proper way to complete the Job within a stipulated time.
5. Logistics department to make sure that we are delivering the goods, for what we are quoted.
6. Design department to minimise the complexity in design & discussing for possibilities in implementing the design to get conclusion on design (whether it’s can do & can’t do design). Also to minimise the complicated structures as much as possible without deviating the concept in design, which helps in controlling the cost.
7. Accounts department to process the bills which will we received by the purchase department & the bills which will be submitted by production & the installation department.

Preparing BOM & BOQ’s based on the approved design.
Preparing technical drawings as per strength & load calculations for installing the Signage.
Preparing Quotations based on the estimated cost by adding the margin / agency charges.
Proper co-ordination with Sales & Marketing teams and also with purchase department for proper material planning to improve the productivity
Directing the production team & helping them to understand the technical drawings to complete the project as per standards.
As a member of VET(Value Engineering Team), I am responsible to avoid the usage of unwanted materials in structure and make sure that the structure is stable as per Design Standards
Regular interaction with client to make sure that the site is clear to start the installation to avoid further delays when Installation team is at site.
