Specific areas of involvement included:
Being part of the team initiated to restructure and reinvigorate Development within the company, involving complete restructuring of the processes and engagement with various departments to ensure development needs would be met.
Design and Development of training courses as part of the companies Management Development programme, including Coaching and Behavioural Interview Training.
Involvement in the company’s succession and talent management programme know as the DiGi Development Plan (DDP)
Supporting aspects of the Performance Management process.
Involvement in Employee Engagement activities. In particular as a member of the team tasked with organizing a large scale stampede intended to spark excitement about DiGi in the market place and convert subscribers of other companies to DiGi. (in response to the introduction of Mobile Number Portability within the country.)
GAINED VALUABLE EXPERIENCE AND EXPOSURE TO THE H.R. PROCESSES AND PROCEDURES OF A LARGE MULTINATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOCUSING IN PARTICULAR ON TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
The specific areas in which I have been employed include:
Developing new position descriptions to meet with a new job grading system
Traveling to the various regions in which Leighton International conducts its business, South East Asia, India and the Middle East to conduct job grading analyses and training needs analyses
Utilizing Training Needs Analysis to create new Job Descriptions
Developing training programmes for improving staff proficiency as part of the the company’s management development programme
Preparation of training materials for trades and professional training under the conceptual title of “Leighton University Initiative”. Programmes include trades/skills and professional/ technical courses.
Masters Degree in Strategic Human Resource Management achieved with Distinction.
Achieved Upper Second Class MA with honours in Sociology.
