Plan, coordinate and execute all logistics function s in the organization.
To plan and coordinates the procurement of all inputs distribution, , equipments, transport and the clearing / forwarding activities for the incoming project materials at the least possible cost so as to minimize expenditure.
Ensure raw materials received are stored in good conditions and arranged properly in warehouses.
To plan and coordinate the management of all inventories in the stores and managing regular stock counts at all sites in the project so as to minimize loss and waste.
Preparing weekly consolidated materials issue reports to ensure accurate material planning and budgeting is prepared and sent to management.
Ensure a daily replenishment of raw materials to all project sites upcountry to ensure continuity.
Ensure proper documentation of the distribution and receiving functions of all project materials is put in place to ensure accountability.
Coordinate all logistical activities i.e. repairs and deployment of vehicles, management of equipments, fuel management, materials planning and distribution with the sole purpose of minimizing costs.
To continuously evaluate activity processes and trends so as to identify improvement opportunities.
Manage project staff meetings to discuss issues and propose solutions to problems raised so as to ensure the staff moves together and work as a team.
Manage, train and supervise the field office staff.
Manage the weekly movement plan for all project vehicles maintenance, repair and the issuing of fuel.
Handle all matters related to insurance of our assets and insurance claims.
Prepare monthly reports and accountabilities for all monies spent on all field activities.
Plan, coordinate and efficiently manage supplies in all stores.
Prepare budgetary proposals for all supplies requirements.
Receiving and inspecting all procured items that have been verified by the internal auditor, before accepting them for storage in the stores.
Request for quotations from suppliers, prepare purchase orders and follow them up for delivery.
Keep ledger, stock and bin cards up-to-date according to the required standards and procedure.
Prepare reports for goods received, issued and those goods to be ordered.
Compile purchase requisitions, Contact vendors and Suppliers for Quotations; make Purchase Orders and follows up on outstanding purchase orders and enquiries.
General Implementation and control of the purchasing function within limits of delegated authority.
Coordinate the Procurement of specific materials for Outside Depots and administer any special purchasing programs.
