Leads team members of the Corporate Communications Department to execute all communication, Public Relations of the Bank.
• Develop and implements Strategic plans for the Corporate Communications Department to facilitate the achievement of the Bank Vision.
• Analysis stakeholder research findings as part of developing a compelling vision for the Corporate Communications Department.
• Manages relations, and builds relationship with key industry media.
• Build and maintains strong relationships with internal and external key stakeholders to ensure proper dissemination of the Communication and Public Relations Services of the organisation.
• Takes lead in Emergency Disaster Management communication.
• Proactively cultivates relationship with internal and external stakeholders’ organization that will promote the work and reputation of the Department.
• Supports EGM and Chief Marketing in building brand reputation and enhancing image of bank amongst its target audience.
• Assists EGM and Chief Marketing in developing key corporate messages and ensure their effective employment.
• Ensures the consistency of brand identity within all bank environments, internal and external communication.
• Read, research and monitor media to keep up to date on industry trends and leverage this knowledge to identify relevant PR opportunities for bank.
• Supports EGM and Chief Marketing in executing an effective Corporate Communication strategy and CSR programme.

External Communication
• Draft press releases/articles for print media related to bank events/transactions incorporating key messages.
• Proof read all documents before releasing to third parties ensuring quality and accuracy of information.
• Manages the approval process and ensure compliance of written communication.
• Ensure sufficient and cost effective distribution of press releases and other relevant information.
• Monitor media to ensure sufficient coverage of relevant press releases
• Coordinate media interviews.
• Manage the execution of press conferences, events, sponsorships, staff related activities and community events.
• Respond accurately and in a timely fashion to all media related enquires.
• Monitor media daily and provide summary of competitive and industry related news.
• Edit all written communication material such as annual reports, corporate brochures, external newsletter and other related material.
• Carry out Arabic/English translation.
Internal Communication
• Drafts the content of internal newsletter.
• Manages the execution of staff events/activities, handling all necessary logistics.
• Shares information about bank news/activities in a timely manner.
• Provides advice to staff on implementation of brand guidelines and brand communication.
• Manages and update the content of the intranet.

Events & Sponsorships
• Evaluates sponsorship/event requests and writes recommendation.
• Manages with relevant parties the organization & execution of
• Ensures the appropriate branding of environment
• Manages the distribution of relevant communication material/banners and other related material.

Website
Ongoing management of updating the website content to ensure accurate and timely information.
• CSR & Community Programmes

• Encourages two way communications across the whole organization.

Provide leadership to QFC media communications, developing and delivering an effective public relations strategy to raise QFC’s profile, and maintain and enhance its reputation.
Managing the QFCA’s overall media strategy and delivering a broad programme of activity among the local, regional and international press. Reporting to the director, corporate communications and marketing. Promoted in May 2008 with increased responsibility for international media relations.

Role summary
• Managing media relationships - continuously liaising with the media to ensure that the QFC is always accessible and its story remains both relevant and compelling.
• Press relations support, including:
• Coordinating QFC’s media resources for press events, including the preparation of press kits, executive briefing documents, and messaging.
• Creating and briefing management executives on all media opportunities.
• Researching and drafting press releases in both Arabic and English, ensuring content and approach is in line with QFCA policy.
• Collating and analysing all QFC media coverage to determine and track negative and positive perceptions of QFC’s image.
• Managing external PR agency against defined objectives, goals and budgets.
• Sponsorship management - identifying and evaluating local community sponsorship opportunities to help maximize QFC’s local profile in a cost-effective manner.
• Media consultancy support - assisting QFC-licenced firms with their PR needs in support of QFC’s efforts to establish a leading regional financial hub.
• Policies and procedures - ensuring media relations comply with all relevant corporate policies and procedures, especially involving any disclosure of legislative information.
• Media Crisis Communications - our team role was to outline a generic, basic crisis communication plan. Our role was to mitigate anything that threatened the integrity or reputation of our organization, usually brought on by adverse or negative media attention. These situations may include legal dispute, theft, accident, fire, flood or man-made disaster. Our team comprised individuals who are key to the situation. We conducted considerable training and set a plan of action for implementing QFCA crisis communications.
• Translation - providing high quality translation services with external agency when required, and interpretation at media events and senior management meetings with government and banking officials.
• Work as PR advisor for QFC subsidiary institutions, Qatar Insurance Services (QIS) and Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) to start-up their business operations.
• Prepare yearly PR budget and manage it through the year to support all QFC activities.
