meet operational constraints by challenging the project stakeholders, in particular the Facility and the Contractor,
to develop an innovative methodology.
• Steered project management functions and improved facilities in HMNB Clyde as part of a £1.5bn programme.
• Utilised sound business acumen to manage the tendering process for a package of works worth over £30M,
including significant stakeholder management whilst ensuring timely issue and submission of the project.

Expertly managed various complex projects in a highly regulated environment for AWE in support of its mission to provide
the UK nuclear deterrent to MOD, including successful stakeholder engagement to senior level within the organisation and
externally, e.g. UK and non-UK Governments and regulatory bodies (US and France).
Led project planning sessions and provided project management support to the Hydrodynamics Division involving
a wide range of national & international stakeholders in support of stockpile stewardship activities.

• Developed a cost-effective solution for ILW treatment at Aldermaston that achieved a reduction in the overall site
risk whilst managing expectations of multiple stakeholders.
• Completed an extensive refurbishment programme (value £35M) for a production facility. Carried out the delivery
of a significant number of packages of work in a complex operational facility by a team of 25 individuals.

• Spearheaded a multi-disciplined team providing a broad range of radioactive waste management services to civil
and defence nuclear sectors. Managed the mobile supercompaction service for processing solid low-level waste.
• Exceeded business plan targets by aiding business development and contract negotiation. Conducted the project
management of the low-level waste cementation service, the tritium recycling service and other waste operations.
• Successfully negotiated a wide variety of contracts with national & international customers (e.g. BNFL) for the
provision of services, and contractors for the supply of equipment and services.
• Exceeded expectations for the delivery of a 5-year Business Plan for a major capital investment to achieve sustained
cost-effective treatment of low-level radioactive wastes. Raised profit by 13% as a result of incentivisation schemes.
• Ensured safe and secure operation in a diverse range of nuclear plants and facilities, including the mobile
supercompaction plant, resin encapsulation plant, wet waste drying plant and the HEPA filter treatment facility.
