1. Routine works are the following: 1.1 Prepares Interim Payment Applications (IPA's) for monthly works completed including subsequent negotiations with the Consultant. IPA includes permanent and temporary works as provided in the Bill of Quantities (BoQ), Material on site & Variation Orders (VO's)
1.2 Evaluate Sub-contractor's entitlement of payment for work completed.
1.3 Prepares Sub-contractor's payment certificate and issue to Project Manager for approval.
1.4 Prepares Sub-contractor's back charges and reimburse from their billing.
1.5 Measures weekly and monthly progress accomplishments ensure that they are measured accurately for Planning & Cost Control inputs.
1.6 Updates Cash Flow Projections

1. Other responsibilities: 2.1 Identifies and prepares Variation Order, submits including justification to Consultant and attends subsequent negotiations.
2.2 Prepares detailed estimate for new items not priced in the Bill of Quantities.
2.3 Participates in Sub-contractor's/Supplier's selection process.
2.4 Evaluates Sub-contractor's Variation Proposal /Claims.
2.5 Take-off for all materials for the execution of the project and coordinate with Procurement Department for purchasing and delivery process.
2.6 Draft contractual correspondence
2.7 Respond to letters received from Sub-contractor/Consultant, requiring contractual input.
2.8 Established the Progress Report Structure/Format of the Project. Handled and performed duties of Planning Engineer for almost a year due non-availability.
2.9 Assists Design Engineering Department for structural detailing and design.
2.10 Involved in Progress Monitoring & Cost Control

1. Other jobs performed as QS but not within the Organization. As a Part-time job private works within the Gulf (Middle East)
3.1 Prepares Bill of Quantities in accordance with the rules of; (1) POM (India) - Principles of Measurement (International) as prepared by RICS - Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, London dated June 1979 (2) CESMM3 - Civil Engineering Standard Method of Measurement, Third Edition 1991 - for Consultants or Contractors
