Organize, outreach, facilitate and actively participate in community gatherings and Focus Groups discussions at a district level.
• Follow up, coach and mentor Syrian volunteers (each district).
• Follow up on the activities, volunteers and trends taking place in the three districts which he/she is focal point for.
• Act as a FP for all the admin procedures regarding the activities in her/his districts; Venue reservation, logistics, Incentive Based Volunteers, maintenance and emergencies
. • Assist the community by disseminating information and announcements through different Community mobilization channels and tools.
• Complete all reporting concerning their work in the three districts (Daily reports, weekly reports, submit all CG, FGD and interview minutes of meeting, as well as emergency reports) in an accurate, organized, and comprehensive manner according to reporting protocol.
• Follow up with and guide community leaders, key informants groups within his/her districts.
• Monitor camp development and daily issues for identifying and resolving problems, needs, and serving as a line of communication between refugees, Blumont, donor and other organizations, as directed by the team coordinator.
• Make sure that program’s requirements and targets are met, in addition to guarantee the quality of services provided and number of beneficiaries reached.
• Apply AGDM with encouraging and stimulating full participation and inclusion of all community members in the camp.
• Develop and maintain strong community relationships and networks between the refugees and the service providers. Continuously encourage and stimulate community members for determining their own problems with finding community based solutions and initiatives.
• Represent Blumont in a professional and respectful manner to all community members and relevant coordination meetings
. • Regular follow up with volunteers during emergencies at any time
. • Perform any other tasks requested by the Team Coordinator in the framework of the activities by Blumont. • Design the frame work of the initiatives which created by the refugees
• Implementation of the community mobilisation activities as part of the behaviour change communication (BCC) strategy and advocacy tools for project activities, particularly sustainable SWM practices at household level and hygiene promotion;
• Support the implementation of participatory BCC planning, monitoring and evaluation of community mobilisation in coordination with project team and BCC Specialist;
• Supervise and mentor the Community mobilisers and camp block captains by sharing and conducting training materials for Community Mobilisation;
• Coordinate with Azraq camp partner on community mobilisation activities and branding;
• Support the production of community mobilisation training materials and guidelines to encourage positive behaviour change in SWM practices;
• Other duties will be assigned after the baseline survey is completed and the behaviour change communication strategy is finalised;
• The position requires ability and willingness to work in Azraq Refugee Camp.
Major Responsibilities:
Community Mobilisation and Documentation
1. To assist the BCC Specialist and EU PM in implementing BCC strategy through community mobilisation on environmentally sustainable SWM practices
2. To help prepare the community mobilisation plan on environmentally sustainable SWM practices in collaboration with PM, Azraq camp mobilisation team and project partners.
3. To monitor and document the impact of community mobilisation activities on environmentally sustainable SWM by analysing the feedback from beneficiaries, partners and other stakeholders.
Advocacy and Communication
4. To advocate to beneficiaries and stakeholders to recycle and separate waste at household level
5. To raise awareness on the importance of SWM behaviour changes and promotion of environmentally sustainable SWM
Project Management
1. To plan, manage and monitor all activities related to Community Mobilisation of the EU project in coordination with the EU PM and in line with the behaviour change communication strategy
2. To manage the Community Mobilisers’ activities in the project
3. Lead community mobilization team and provide them with required technical/operational support
4. Recruitment and training of about 100 beneficiaries in the AL-Azraq Camp according to SOPs in the camp.
