I am responsible for the personalisation, issuance, distribution and activation of the New National eID Card of Nigeria.
I am also serving as Systems Integrator on the Project and interface directly with all the foreign partners and vendors.
My current role takes me around the world on a frequent basis to ensure that every technical aspect is covered.
My department was newly created for this purpose and I report directly to the DG/CEO.
My duties also include serving as Technical Adviser to the DG/CEO and to Top Management.
I had the privilege of redesigning the layout of The National eID Card and supervise the development of the Card Profile, the introduction of new players to the Infrastructure and applet development.
My work also includes having to view the chip encoding work being done by the vendors, and oftentimes develop APDU scripts of my own when I am requested to serve as adjudicator from time to time.
The Commission does not procure any hardware relating to the expansion of the Personalisation Bureau or the overall Infrastructure without my input, oftentimes requested by the DG/CEO.
I have extensive hands-on experience with Linux which comes in handy as 90% of the infrastructure is Linux or Unix based.
I also oversee the Unified Collaboration Suite procured by The Commission for email, messaging and collaboration.
I supervise a team of in-house developers for HTML5/CSS3 and jQuery work and have personally developed a number of HTML5-based portals for the Commission.
I have been responsible for the development, testing and deployment of custom Linux-based solutions for the company.
Established in 1997, this company's initial focus was the development of software for palmtops and handhelds but later migrated to Linux solutions.
I was responsible for the development of custom Linux kernels and Network Appliances for a myriad of customers.
Mobile Messaging Solutions, Development & Migration of websites to mobile-aware websites using the very latest HTML5/CSS3/JQuery Mobile tools.
Development of custom Instant messaging platforms for social, Consumer & Enterprise deployments.
Development of vehicle Smart Tags for Estates using unique 2D Barcodes with embedded details for enhanced security.
Linux Consultants since 1995: Migration of Microsoft platforms to Enterprise-grade hardened Linux. (e.g. Mail Servers, LDAP)

I was also in charge of managing remote customers as far as Costa Rica and Zambia for their various Linux solutions.
Pocket Intelligence has had customers in Banking, Oil and Gas and Government sector, of which the technical responsibilities lie with me.
Deployed a Log Correlation Engine/Vulnerability Scanner solution for the Central Bank of Nigeria to monitor their extensive network of servers around the country.
Their network mainly consists of Solaris & Linux Servers and Windows Workstations.
I also deployed an SIEM solution called Splunk for the Bank to monitor User Audit and report any anomalies or attempted fraud in the Bank.
I was responsible for the Linux deployment, training and support for 6 months.
Moretime Information Technologies Ltd. was an early adopter and leader in the Open Source movement in Nigeria.
My role whilst at Moretime included:
Being responsible for the development of the Linux department. My job was to recruit and train Linux engineers.
I participated in the design and development of the Moretime Linux Academy on the outskirts of Ikeja.
Whilst at Moretime, I was responsible for the development of the Moretime Data-centre, with emphasis on stress-testing the environment and a thorough evaluation of new hardware.
Whilst at Moretime, I was also responsible for the backend systems for the campus-wide Wireless Hotspot commissioned by the Igbinedion University in Okada, Edo state.
I developed a secure firewall and Linux-based complex router for Wema Bank, whilst at Moretime.
I designed and deployed Linux-based DNS caching servers, routers and Secure FTP servers.
My main strength is in PERL, PHP and Bash scripting.
I also developed extensive experience in Linux-based SMS gateways and served as a consultant to ISPs in various countries including Zambia and Costa Rica

I was initially employed as a sales assistant, but later became a palmtop programmer for the Psion Organiser 2 handheld computer.
I developed custom packages for Sales executives of over 400 branches of FPS in the City of London.
I was also a member of a team whose job was to collate the data collected from the Palmtops, process them and prepare reports for Management
