Planning & designing of Microwave backhaul (Ericsson, Aviat, Ceragon) & Optical backbone (ECI) network for West Bank & Gaza Strip. Preparing annual budget, preparing projects time plan.
Installation and commissioning of Ericsson transmission and RBS system.
-Supervising electrical works, Low voltage, CCTV installation..
-Reviwing BoQs and ordaring materials.
-Updating design drawings.
Responsibilities and Authorities
· Perform the site engineering work in accordance with Ericsson procedures and with respect to customer’s directives.
· Follow guides and rules of the Site Engineering Process.
· Question faulty or incomplete input data.
· Maintain high quality engineering standards.
· Provide support on technical issues to customers and ASPs in agreement with project management.
Main activities
· Perform site investigations in field and record data in SIR.
· Prepare Site Material Request (SMR) for Radio, TRM or Power equipment based upon customer requirements.
· Prepare and submit Civil Works and Floor Plan proposals based upon costumer requirements.
· Create Site Installation Documentation (SID).
· Update SID into As-Built SID after finalized installation.
· Interact with IE coordinator, Network Design, Civil Work and Implementation regarding SE technical issues.
· To participate in project meetings to ensure proper coordination of SE activities within overall project requirements.
I played a key role with CSC as an Installation Engineering Coordinator for Ericsson projects in MUKSA for STC Operator (3G1, DXX, 3G1 Upscope, 3G2, 3G3 and C&I projects) and the main tasks were:
• Receiving work order from Ericsson management and distribute tasks to CSC field engineers.
• Follow up with teams and provide Ericsson with updated tracking reports.
• Preparation of Site Installation Document (SID) updating all information on Ericsson Server & through the site handler.
• Support and help of engineers in the site for installation, traffic routing and integration.
• Provide required training for new engineers for installation, configuration, software upgrade and quality standards.
• Support & Help of draughtsman in the office for the preparation of Power & TRM Signaling Drawing for IE’s.
• Coordination with design Engineers if some problems faced.
• Provide all sites with requested materials.
• Apply for MDT’s (Maintenance Down Time).
• Coordinate with the customer to complete PAT (Preliminary Acceptance Test) at required time.
• Mini-Link installation (HC & TN 2, 6, 20P & Minilink E), configuration, alignment, troubleshooting and traffic routing for E1s and integration using MINI-LINK Craft 1.2 or MSM .
• Transfer traffic (cut-over) from old microwave system to new Ericsson TN during MDT and configure R3 TN.
• Configuration of DCN and IP addresses for Traffic Node.
• Installation, commissioning and troubleshooting for RBS2000 series (2206, 2302, 2308, 2216) using OMT software.
• Installation, commissioning and loading scripts for Ericsson Node B (RBS3206) using EMAS SW.
• Perform Test Call and Handover Test for GSM and WCDMA sites using TEMS Investigation or TEMS Pocket (Sony Ericsson Z750i).
• Installation, configuration, integration and troubleshooting of ADM Tellabs DXX 6340 using Tellabs 6300 Craft terminal SW.
Transmission system (MINILINK based on Ericsson)
• Transmission principles and networking.
• Implement transmission plans and configuration.
• Minilink installation (Traffic nodes types 2, 6, 20 P& Minilink E) installation, configuration and alignment.
• SDH Minilink high capacity (HC) installation, configuration, alignment & Equipment & Line Protection (ELP).
• Transmission links test for connectivity & troubleshooting.
• E1 routing & Traffic routing (cross connections).
• Links upgrade Hardware and software.
• PDH & SDH networks.
GSM system (RBS 2000 series based on Ericsson)
• RBS 2202 & 2206 installation
• Implement and configure DXU with new IDB for RBS 2202 & 2206.
• Commissioning and preparing RBS cabinet for integration and bring all sector on air in cooperation with BSS.
• Testing alarms with OMC and making test call using TEMS.
• TRU expansion of Ericsson RBS 2206.
• Antenna system tests using Anritsu site master and site master handheld and cable attenuation.
• I worked in JCAA as Trainee engineer, the major training areas were (microwave system, navigation system and Telecom system in addition with the work with the department).
