• Reviewing applicability of existing drawings, standards and specifications and recommending appropriate changes. Contributing to the development of cost estimates and planning schedules.
• Preparation and/or review of feasibility studies, Pre-Concept and Concept masterplans, Design Development for Masterplans / Urban designs, based on the approved Scope of Services / Works.
• Developing attachments to Scopes of Services (SOS), schedule of areas, specifications and masterplan/urban design guidelines for building/ facilities, open space and infrastructure projects to be included in tenders for engineering consultancy and/ or construction.
• Providing technical support to projects on masterplanning and urban design related matters during construction and commissioning stages of projects, which often involves site visits. Reviewing materials, mock-ups, shop drawings and submittals.
• Checking the adequacy of designs produced by others, to ensure fitness for purpose and technical quality, in terms of providing safe / environmentally acceptable facilities, in compliance with the codes, standards, principles, practices and specifications, including Climate Change Resilience and Mitigation. Verifying that the projects being designed comply with latest updates and planning requirements and are in line with Qatar National Masterplan, Qatar National Development Framework, Qatar National Planning Framework and Municipalities Spatial Development Plans.
