Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities In my role with Qatar Gas - Major Projects, I am accountable for managing the NFS project Loss Prevention (LP) team. The following are some of my key responsibilities:  Coordinate Loss Prevention Engineering deliverables with EPC Contractor personnel, Project Management Team (PMT), Qatar gas operating, and other Project related personnel, regarding Project permanent facilities (on-plot and off-plot) and temporary facilities (accommodation camps, offices, etc.).  Develop and lead comprehensive Loss Prevention activities during the EPC phase, including input and review of philosophies, codes of practice and standards. Included in this project are the LNG Plant, the product storage and export areas, as well as the construction camp.  Review Contractor's Loss Prevention/Process Safety Engineering design deliverables. Support the EPC Contractor by providing clear and timely guidance to close out LP studies/activities to complete detailed engineering design milestones. Lead the development of the Design Safety Case and associated deliverables and ensure these are reviewed and aligned with the OPCO.  Conducts technical evaluations of multiple tenders for large capital projects, including risk-based evaluation of complex technical issues, which may have a significant commercial impact on project execution, ensuring tenders are compliant, technically qualified, and consistent with project requirements. Indirectly supervises contractor's Loss Prevention Engineering personnel to effectively steward the Loss Prevention scope in accordance with project requirements, from contract award until delivery.  Completing many SHE studies in a timely manner to make design decisions to meet project execution milestones and make practical judgements and make decisions on LP issue resolution  Lead / Drive EPC contractor to deliver technical safety studies (e.g., Safety Case, QRA, HAZOPs, PHA studies etc.) to deliver per execution plan.  Participate in Loss Prevention activities at Contractors' offices to align plans and schedules with safety and operational requirements as agreed in project deliverables.  Steward contractors' Loss Prevention execution activities by understanding plans, procedures, objectives, and overall job requirements; verifying contractor employs adequate numbers of qualified personnel, appropriate design tools including computer hardware and software; adheres to specifications, standards and design verification processes and provides all contract documentation for Loss Prevention scope including accurate and timely progress reporting measures.  Advise contractor Loss Prevention organization in respect to compliance with Qatar gas policies for prevention of information brokering and business standards guidelines; engineering and design procedures, processes, and deliverables; staffing plans, personnel suitability and adequacy and the successful resolution of any claims. Monitor the Loss Prevention Engineering schedule and critical milestones developing and managing recovery plans to address any delays.  Manage interfaces with Onshore Engineering Division Manager and Engineering team Heads to gain alignment on Loss Prevention Engineering needs, objectives, and requirements and  Oversee the timely delivery of technical attachments and scope description to all Loss Prevention related purchase orders and own related technical attachments and scope description in all fabrication and construction contracts.
