Cycle Logicals is a Dubai based subscription company for women. I have been working with the owner to develop a social media plan and write the blog. I use Wordpress to upload and edit the blog for SEO. I meet with suppliers and am in constant communication with the PR Company to create Press releases, arrange events and coordinate our social media.
• Cycle Logicals is a Dubai start-up, I have worked with the owner to coordinate with the PR agency, create content and manage the blog and Facebook.
• I have arranged meetings with potential suppliers to provide products for the subscription box.
• Have researched and set the company up with a new and affordable trade license.
• Wrote the content for an application for a start-up initiative, which was successful and the owner is currently in talks about funding.
Under a trade license I have spent the past 2 years working as a freelance copywriter. I have built up an extensive contact list and portfolio. I have built up a reputation as a copywriter in Dubai, working with companies from a variety of industries: beauty, advertising, heavy industry, legal, food magazines, education, insurance, HR and PR.
Through networking I was able to build up my portfolio and the feedback has continually been positive, with the vast majority of clients returning for repeat business on numerous occasions.
• Marketing through social media and networking groups to meet new clients.
• Meet with clients to discuss the brief, provide an appropriate quote and arrange deadlines.
• Delivering quality content to a deadline, this has ensured the majority of my clients have asked me to continue working as their copywriter.
• Responsible for finances, creating invoices, managing my accounting and the purchase and cancellation of my trade license.
As lead editor for the online magazine Keep Dining I created content, edited for SEO and arranged meetings with head chefs and restaurant managers. We had a readership of over 20k per month and were receiving excellent feedback from restaurants.
• Arranged meetings with restaurant managers around Dubai to discuss advertising and reviews in the magazine.
• Connected a chef with a well-known hotel to arrange pop up cooking events. This was successfully negotiated and the event should take place in September.
• Arranged interviews with chefs for feature pieces in the magazine.
• Coordinated with restaurant managers to sell advertising space in the online magazine.
On moving to Dubai I found work as a Real Estate Agent. Even though this was inevitably not a good fit it was an excellent opportunity for me to discover Dubai, learn about the importance of networking in this city and hone my climbing through windows skills!
• Communicated with landlords to get the listings and negotiate the listing price.

Teaching business English, IELTS speaking and legal English to students and senior business executives. Not only focusing on teaching but also offering a high standard of customer service to the students. Tailoring sessions for particular student needs, including specialist vocabulary and understanding technical and commercial processes. Assisting students with resume writing, interview practice, scholarship applications and MBA interviews.

• I was required to design a tutoring program for every student I was responsible for. To match their specific needs and skill requirements.

• As a senior tutor I worked closely with the management team to redesign the interview process for new students and develop new material for a variety of courses.
Teaching general English to first year university students in Vietnam. Design the syllabus to cover reading, writing, speaking and listening skills equally. Responsible for the student’s end of year dissertations.
