GUIDANCE COUNSELOR
• First point of contact for high school students and parents in university, college and career planning.
• Guide and follow up with student’s university applications, both locally and internationally.
• Coordinate with students and external exam providers to ensure students registered, took, and collected scores for all required external exams such as, SAT 1, SAT 2, TOEFL, IELTS, and EmSAT.
• Liaison with A-List Education LLC in order to provide external SAT training courses to students.
• Track progression towards graduation with all high school students termly.
• Deliver academic counseling to those in danger of failing.
• Provide guidance to students at time of electives selection.
• Maintain contact with College Board in order to provide up to date information and implement AP program.
• Active member of the NEASC accreditation steering committee, meeting weekly, with a focus on access to learning.
• Student Council Coordinator.
ELECTIVES HEAD OF DEPARTMENT
• Maintain day-to-day functioning of the electives department (12 courses - 23 classes).
• Follow up with teaching and learning, yearly, termly, and lesson planning for all courses.
• Implement the course outlines and calendars in order to maintain consistency throughout the department.
• Finalize grading schemes and final grades for all courses.
ELECTIVES TEACHER (Introduction to Business & Leadership Management)
• Plan and deliver bi-weekly lessons to a mixed group of high school students ranging from Grades 9-12.
• Adopt a project based approach to teaching and learning.
• Maintain tracking of all students throughout the entirety of course.
• Provide transparency in grading policies, notifying students and parents grades frequently.
• Provide students with up to date classroom information via classroom website on Edmodo.com.
