Reading UK & Singapore: As a team member of Plant Automation Group for about 4 years based in Reading UK and later in Singapore, I designed, configured & tested the Base layer Process Control Typical specifications with Foster Wheeler & Shell global team that was later used a s a standard for the 13 plants for the project. The key control Typical included Split range with override, Vortex flow control, Shell Compressor ASC, Special ratio control, Pass balance control.
Performed the process control detail engineering for Ethylene plant (LOP) alongside with JGC (Stone & Webster) and SGS . Key aspect was development of Furnace controls, Furnace start up and shutdown sequences specifications, design, configuring and testing on Yokogawa CS 3000 environment.
This was very large system architecture involving new technologies such as Foundation Fieldbus, Asset Management, and Dynamic Simulation, remote monitoring, Ethernet IP, Various subsystem and package system interfaces achieving highly sophisticated Ethylene plant control that was later acknowledged by M/S Stone & Websters.
Worked in a group with worlds top 3 PMC and EPC companies (Bechtel USA, Foster Wheeler UK, JGC Japan and SEI China).
China: Closely monitored the flawless start up of LOP plant at the job site in Daya Bay. Short site visits on request during the compressor start ups and Furnace controls.
Houston USA: Developed Master Automation plan for Chevron Upstream Angola Control System Upgrade project.
Dubai UAE: Worked as Engineering & Project Manager for several regional projects involving customer meetings, specification finalization, guiding, mentoring, and troubleshooting with the mutli nation teams and groups
Worked as Zakum offshore Computer Systems Engineer during the acceptance of offshore modernization program (MOOCS) with Texas Instrument (Present Valmet) S3 SCADA system, Bailey INFI90 Distributed Control System, CAC Baker RTU, SCADA and Indus PassPort work management system.
Operation Support and engineering of the OVMS/ (Later NT based) S3 SCADA system and Bailey INFI 90 DCS for critical Oil and Gas production application.
