1 To coordinate implementation of all programmes in a programme area within the agreed plans, budgets, time frame and donor guidelines. by;
• Taking lead on overseeing implementation of plans with programme teams based on the proposals and Concern organisational policies and strategies. These will include; annual programme plans, budgets, procurement plans, monthly plans and activity based plans.
• Providing technical support to project officers and partners throughout the project cycle, giving constructive feedback and ensuring partner participation in plans and meeting and supporting commitments
• Planning and negotiating any additional support to partners by other experts both internal and external as required by agreed plans.
• In conjunction with advisers, designing and delivering training resources, materials and workshops according to own expertise or working with technical experts within Concern or external
• Leading or facilitating participatory assessments using PRA tools and Concern developed tools for both partners and beneficiaries to enhance effective planning and implementation
• Overseeing procurement and disbursement of project supplies. This includes ensuring proper support documentations like distribution lists.
2 To ensure the highest standards of progress and impact monitoring to facilitate effective reporting on expected results and learning from the project. By;
• Leading the development and review of the project level PM&E plan and tools in line with project strategy and ensuring partners either have their own M&E plans that feed into the project PM&E plan or implement the project level PM&E plan
• Gathering data to facilitate effective reporting. This will be through specific data gathering tools developed for each project or specific tools designed to gather data for analysis
• Organising project review meetings with partners and the bi annual learning and accountability meetings with stakeholders to get feedback on project performance.
• Reviewing and verifying partner reports and other documentations, providing recommendations for action and follow up on their implementation
• Undertaking regular joint field visits with coordinators of partner organisations, Concern staff, Project Visitors, Government staff and other relevant stakeholders to assess progress towards expected results and communicate findings to partners formally
• Producing monthly, annual and special project reports in a timely manner
3 Networking, advocacy and representation by;
• Active engagement in sectors issues with stakeholders locally, regionally and nationally. This will include attending relevant meetings and joining relevant networks, giving formal and informal presentation about Concern’s work and presenting a professional image at all times.
• Coordinating the gathering of information by team members concerning advocacy issues in the locality and region, organising such information into a format appropriate for advocacy purposes.
• Identifying individuals or groups with influence and initiating dialogue with key influencers. Presenting influencers with appropriate information, facilitating contact between partners or people in need and the influencers
• Ensuring Concern participates alongside other Civil Society Organisations or takes lead in organising international days like Women day, World Aids Day, World Food Day etc.
4 To support programme development processes in Concern Worldwide Sudan. By;
• Participating in programme development activities like contextual analysis, baseline studies, specific studies especially in the area of Gender and Equality when called upon.
• Respecting, upholding, and actively supporting the broader Concern Worldwide Sudan and Concern Worldwide organisational development initiatives within the context of West Darfur program e.g. Equality, Disaster Risk Reduction, Environment conservation, Advocacy, Program Participants Protection and Capacity building.

Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration Officer

During this period, I served as DDR officer, UNV, in Julud team site ‘TS’ and Kauda team site, UNMIS sector IV Southern Kordofan, Sudan.
In both TSs I managed to process 7, 728 ex-combatants, this caseload consist of men combatants, women associated with armed force and groups ‘WAAFGs’ and disables of both men and women.
Since the field team is very small ‘the UNMIS DD team was of team leader, IT officer and DDR officer, I was occupying the last’, due to the high security hazard in the area, I used to perform more than task, as stated below:
Implement community based campaigns jointly with DDR governmental commission to disseminate awareness of DDR and its role in peace building
Verify the pre-registration lists of candidate ‘Ex-combatants’
Verify the list of ex-combatants who discharged from their respective armies “SPLA, PDF, and SAF’.
Verify the disarmament process by ensuring that candidate have handed over their arms
Coordinate with the Joint Military Committee ‘JMC’ to ensure that the arms have been discarded according to the agreed procedures.
Verify the Assembly Area ‘AA’ of the demobilized armies and ensure that the minimum standard prescribed in the DDR SOPs are met.
Verify the general list of women candidates ‘Women Associated with Armed Force / Groups- WAAFGs’
Daily verification for the list of candidates ‘those who are to go thru the DD process’
Supervise the DD process ‘verification, transportation of Ex-coms,
Coordinate with the Governmental counterpart ‘DDR commission’ for organization and processing of the ex-combatants
Supervise the distribution of food and non-food items
Check and keep track for the supplies
Arrange with Bank of Khartoum to distribute the cash payment ‘Transitional Safety Allowance’
Supervise the logistics and property of the operations ’47 containers, 4 vehicles, 2 trucks and buildings’
Supervise 9 casual staff ‘Individual Contractors-ICs’ consist of security guards, handymen, drivers and cleaners’
