Present -Genco Synergy (From 1st Aug 2021 to Present) As a Marine Operation Superintendent at GS Shipmanagement, I have been responsible for ensuring safe, smooth, and efficient dry cargo operations on assigned vessels. My role has involved monitoring daily performance based on flag, statutory, and company requirements related to speed, consumption, and weather conditions. One of my primary functions has been to approve hire statements or freight invoices, including lay time calculations and assist chartering with cargo quantity and stowage calculations. I have also checked per-stowage plans, loading sequences, passage plans, cargo docs, LOIs, bunker requirements, and ship's cargo hold preparation instructions. In addition to cargo planning, I have played a critical role in the stowage, securing, and lashing of break bulk and project cargo. I have monitored ship's cargo hold condition and preparation, preparing and providing cargo-specific guidelines for safe handling and transportation. I have liaised with the insurance department in handling claims, hazardous situations, accidents, and P&I involvement, informing them in case of vessel breaking international navigation limits and war zones. As part of my role, I have also carried out superintendent inspections on ships, provided various trainings, including enclosed space entry/rescue procedures and safe navigation safety trainings, and set up SMS on new takeovers. Furthermore, I have provided Wx/storm information to all fleet dry cargo and assisted in post-fixtures operations for owners, preparing hire/off-hire statements. I have coordinated with and supported the technical department in cargo and commercial matters, carrying out shipboard and shore-based training of officers and crew in matters pertaining to dry cargo operations, including stowage, securing, and lashing of break bulk and project cargo. Overall, my experience as a Marine Operation Superintendent has involved extensive work in marine operations, cargo planning, stowage, securing, and lashing of break bulk and project cargo, and ensuring compliance with various regulations and company standards. My role has been critical in maintaining the safe, efficient, and profitable operations of the vessels I have been responsible for.
