KEY RESULT AREAS
Credit Underwriting - Retail Lending.
* Manage the Credit underwriting team for retail lending with prime responsibility on Mortgage lending and oversee
Expat, National loans, Auto loans, Credit cards and lending against investments.
* To strictly adhere to Policies and Compliance to CB norms / regulatory directives.
* To work in alignment with Industry standards and adopt appropriate risk analysis measures for Consumer lending.
* Participate in relief measures and temporary financials relief to customers impacted due to Covid’19.
* Actively engaged in the Target Economic Support Scheme (TESS) initiated by the Central Bank of UAE to support
customers adversely impacted due to the Covid pandemic.
* Focus on identifying potential areas for efficiencies and process improvements by automation to ensure gainful
occupation of staff with focus on cost and quality.
* Engaging employees: Delegating tasks to ensure responsibility at all levels and at the same time staying involved
with working hands and be an inspiration to the team.
* Support Business in a remote working / Work from Home structure to ensure minimum impact to Business by
adhering to safety protocols.
* Initiate and drive relevant capex and budgetary requirements.
* To work closely with key stakeholders including Policy, Products, Business units, Premises & Business Continuity
units to be in line with the Bank’s objectives.
* Develop an efficient culture across teams by setting appropriate tone and expectations.
* Support staff to meet their self-development plans by nurturing talents.
* Engage and retain quality staff with adequate succession planning and training to understand risk and dynamics
for critical roles.

Credit Underwriting - Secured lending
* Manage the Credit underwriting team for the secured lending portfolio (primarily residential, commercial mortgage
lending).
* Manage secured and discretionary lending for both conventional and Islamic segments
* Facilitate financial and bank statement analysis to develop a borrower’s profile and arrive at a prudent credit
decision in line with regulatory norms.
* Detailed risk analysis of individuals and businesses to determine their Credit worthiness.
* Coordinate with Business Heads, Policy and Product Managers during the Credit evaluation process.
* Exercise complete due diligence following Accepted Best Practices and Credit Quality.
* Summarize and present High Value Credit Proposals to Senior Management including The Management Credit
Committee.
* Recommend ongoing improvements to smoothen and ease the underwriting processes considering market
challenges.
* Manage Quality turnaround times to Business and Operations.
* Manage Staff performance to recognize and retain talent.
