Currently working as Instock manager lead for Amazon retail books for MENA (UAE, KSA, EG) & Singapore

Have been part of the Team Launching retail Amazon.eg, leading few "AmazonSunrise" projects such as "Offers migration" project & "Stock build up" for a smooth transition from Souq.com


Worked on Forecasting and Ordering continuous improvement including building tools to improve our forecast
accuracy, reports to track the E2E CIM performance (centralized inventory management), as well as WBR/MBR
reporting (Weekly/Monthly business review)

Experience Managing In-Stock function for PLs Consumables, Food and beverages, F&B, Health & personal care, Beauty, Major Appliances, Automotive, Sports, Toys, and Fashion

• Reporting to the Centralized Inventory Management lead
Decreased the Days of cover by 33%, while increasing the Green (Healthy stocks) from 58% to 65% across +70, 000
SKUs

Drove the Process improvement and operational excellence through pointing out the areas of Improvement by
leading the Reporting and analysis across the CIM department (Centralized inventory management)

Egypt Central inventory management and supply chain POC (point of contact) when it comes to Tier 1 events management such as White Friday, Single's day

Key responsibilities


Manage inventory availability and inventory health including: improved in-stock rates, inventory planning and
systematic forecasting, for new high-growing categories

Audit the rolling forecasts by analyzing the historical sales data taking into consideration the seasonal trends, &
Validate orders to suppliers
• Work with Amazon regional central forecasting team on initiatives and projects to improve the forecast accuracy,
and automating any manual inputs
• Responsible for the S&OP, including making sure that any upcoming category events that may affect the Inbound
& Outbound levels are aligned and coordinating the expected Inbound with the Fulfillment centre
• Align with the stakeholders any upcoming events or promotions: Sales, Marketing & merchandising team, to
secure enough stocks
• Monitor the Non-performing stocks (Low run rates, High days of cover, High value stocks), and follow up with the
VMs the action plan (Margin decrease/Liquidation) and align with the MVM if any return should be made
• Partner with internal teams to create tools and process improvement that affect purchasing and vendor
management workflow

Reporting to the supply chain manager with responsibility for manage all aspects of the demand planning for Nivea in Egypt

 Analyze historical demand and filter out the outliers, and monitor the forecast accuracy
 Align the demand plan with the country manager and communicate the order to concerned party after holding an S&OP meeting
 Launched the VMI project (Vendor managed inventory): Designed a template to monitor the top customers’ stocks (mainly the Pharmacies sub distributors), gave recommendation for sales in and sales out based on the agreements, sales in history, customer’s sales out forecast, available stocks and the promotions plan. The project improved the forecast accuracy, increased the sales volumes and reduced the returns.
 Analyzed the sales trends per channel and region, and worked with the Channels managers to develop scenarios to change sales trends during the month
 Support the sales team with the power of fact and figures: Designed a bunch of templates to report on daily basis the sales analysis for each channel and representative, the sales Vs. the forecast and the available stocks per SKU, the slow moving items, and the near expiry SKUs sales.
 Inventory planning and Inventory management : Reported and followed up on the order fill rate, inventory turnover, slow moving items, near expiry and expired quantities.
 Gave training and presentations to all sales team including awareness with the tactical goals, the challenges, how to use the new reports, the VMI project, and the importance of achieving the target volume with the right product family mix while achieving the target value and monitoring the service levels.
 Communicate to the trade marketing the baseline demand and the sales forecast for each SKU included in the promotion plan, assist in the promotion sales allocation, and coordinate with the supply planner the promotion production, and insure the full plan execution in time.
