•Review and check all mechanical works (A/U ground piping, firefighting system, HVAC, plumbing, Cranes …etc.).
• Adhere and apply project spec's., approved drawings, quality plan and ITP for all executed works.
•Inspection of all material as per procurement order (P.O.) and reviewing of mill test certificate (MTC) and related procurement documents for traceability and conformance to mechanical /chemical properties in accordance with applicable Codes & standards. When defective materials, equipment, or workmanship are found, immediate action to be taken to correct them, & to report the corrective action to the Site Superintendent
• Ensuring the implementation of Consultant environmental management system and health & safety management system requirements
• Check and review on weekly basis the mechanical physical program.
• Conducting and participation of per-inspection meetings with client and Vendors and formulating the ways of inspection at par with the approved inspection test plan.
• Check & witness for (N.D.T) (RT, PT, MT, UT, VT)
• Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ).
• Reviewing Procedures, specification, Isometric drawings, shop drawings, and as built drawings and standards for the project.
• Assisted in Pre-commissioning & commissioning and start-up.
• Preparation of Final Punch Listing
Reviews specifications, purchase orders, subcontracts, inspection reports, delivery schedules, instruction manuals and technical data.
Administers assigned subcontracts to ensure contract remains up to date in areas such as drawings, specifications, cost and schedule.
Coordinates with the Field Construction Manager on activities affecting the contract administration operation.
Supervises subcontractor work efforts and administers routine subcontract changes and interfaces with client personnel. May represent the company in contractual discussions and negotiations.
Reviews and/or supervises, as assigned, the preparation of construction estimates, cost engineering studies, schedules and budgets.
Analyzes assigned construction activities to determine the scope, time and resource requirements.
Coordinates the interfacing between the construction automation plan and the project controls program at the job site. Reviews project controls documents on progress relating to cost and schedule.
Attend project, site progress and any mechanical services related technical meetings as directed by the construction manager.
Oversee a junior mechanical engineer and a mechanical inspector.
Provide advice to the Construction Manager in regard to any mechanical services related variation costs that may be claimed during the course of the works.
Continually review the construction schedule during the progress of site works.
Make sure that all mechanical services works are as per the approved shop drawings and Consultant’s specification, good working practices, the construction schedule and health & safety.
