Financial Manager (Kuwait & Iraq) - Hardee’s Chain with experience of 11 years demonstrated in the restaurants’ sector for 6 years and 5 years in Reporting and financial analysis’ sector. Hired for Kuwait Food Co. (Americana) since May. 2006 till now going through many responsibilities and titles. Holding now a Deputy Financial Controller in the Head Office located in Kuwait since July 2012 while an experience of 6 years were gained in KSA (Jeddah) branch.

Deputy Financial Controller, Americana Head Office - Kuwait from July 2012 till Dec.2016

Current duties and Responsibilities:
A. BASIC FUNCTIONS:
• Supervise and direct the financial activities of the Restaurants Group in the areas of:
Monthly Financial Reporting, Accounting and Financial Positions, Budgeting, Strategic Long term Planning, responses to Restaurants Internal and External Auditing, participating in Restaurants New Openings or Divestitures Studies, provide Analysis and Recommendations to promote the growth, development and profitability of the Restaurants Operations. Fulfil the financial obligations to the franchisors according to their contracts and agreements, and monitor the major legal issues.
B. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Helping the top management to understand and take more detailed view to the business through implementing scenario analysis to each decision and translate the results into simplified language to be communicated with the branches to assure the highest productivity and efficiency of each decision.
2. Developing and Improving the analysis tools and models to be communicated with the all 14 branches to help the all related financial and operational teams to understand the business performance and attached risk like QOE, Variance analysis and Breakeven analysis.
4. Participate in developing the Annual Budget and the 5 Years Plan for the restaurants Sector and review such plans in order to consolidate it, and ensure its matching with the Americana Group Corporate Head Office objectives.
5. Direct and develop policies and procedures for the establishment of standards of business performance, and evaluation of performance against those standards, and responsible for generating a Monthly Comment Report on the results of restaurants sector.
6. Interface with the Financial and Administration Manager of the Americana Group Head Office to provide Financial Status Reports or relevant restaurants information or data as required for the use of the Americana Corporate Head Office Management.
7. Assist and participate in restaurants Financial Analysis of capital spending projects including Analysis of Re-model and New Store Projects. And also assist and participate in all acquisitions and divestitures related to Restaurants activities to ensure that the company’s objectives are met.
8. Participate and supervise the development of Management Information and Regional Systems in the Restaurants Sector to ensure the best utilization of adequate IT systems, and to ensure the ability of the consolidation of those systems on both Regional level and corporate level.
9. Responsible for reviewing the Franchise Contracts when negotiating it or its renewal, especially the financial obligations part in these contracts, and responsible for keeping the original Franchise contracts, and all other important legal documents.
10. Reviewing the internal Audit report for each branch and preparing the consolidation reply for the whole division in addition to taking corrective actions.
