• Prepares the preliminary cost estimates for the projects cost during the Proposal Phase as requested by the Proposal Manager.
• Prepares the preliminary cost estimates for the project during the Bases of Design (BOD) Phase, if requested, based on the released design and outline specifications. Presents/discusses these preliminary cost estimates with the Project Manager/Engineer for review before submitting to the Client. Answers the Client questions on these estimates and prepares the necessary corrections, if any, to suite Client’s budget.
• Prepares the B.O.Qs and the final cost estimates for the project, at the end of the Engineering Production Phase, based on quantities calculated by the Quantity Surveyor(s) of the Technical Disciplines from the construction drawings.
• Maintains current records of rates and prices of materials, labor and equipment by using the ECG computerized database.
• Prepares the comparison tables of tenderers prices during the tenders Evaluation Phase.
