• To carry out operation and switching of Pump Station Mechanical Primary Equipment.
•Record details of alarm/relay operation signals/incidences during faults and report to the Head of Pump Stations Section/Senior Engineer as appropriate.
•Respond to different types of pump station alarm in a timely manner. Acknowledge, record, reset alarms and inform relevant personnel as required.
• Carry out routine P/S visual inspections, minor maintenance as well as the HSEQ planned inspections.
•Monitor all equipment at P/S including the record of equipment loads, temperatures, counter readings oil and gas pressure readings as required.
•Competently operate P/S systems and other auxiliary systems to ensure uninterrupted supply within the pump station.
•Conduct first response troubleshooting and fault finding following alarms or supply interruption due to operation of protective devices. This includes interpretation of technical diagrams to diagnose and assessment of priority of faults.
•Prepare preliminary technical reports related to pump station equipment following an incident.
•Monitor and control water quality parameters (including the residual chlorine) inside the water network. This includes operating the chlorination system and testing the residual chlorine.
• Act as an Authorized Person for the operation of equipment and the preparation, issue and cancellation of specific safety documents in compliance with TRANSCO System Safety Rules.
