Dr. Mahmoud Sarhan is an experienced traffic engineer with more than 15 years of professional experience. During this time he has developed a broad range of expertise across a wide range of engineering disciplines. Related project experience includes traffic management studies; corridor studies; parking studies; speed calming; traffic surveys; traffic impact assessment for new developments; intersection analysis and micro simulation traffic modeling using Synchro and VISSIM.
His transportation planning experience includes geometric, functional and freeway planning, as well as multi-level interchange alternatives. He has a strong project management background and has managed several transportation projects.
He has significant experience of working in kingdom of Saudi Arabia through dealing with many clients. Also, he has considerable practice in report writing and client meetings and presentations.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
1-Supervise data collection team during execution of various traffic surveys (ATC, MTC, parking survey, speed and delay survey, pedestrian counts, …etc).
2-Supervise junior traffic engineers, and provide guidance during data analysis and traffic simulation for the various alternatives.
3-Preparation of traffic management studies; parking studies; intersection analysis; traffic impact assessment for new developments. Also, investigation and planning of highway projects.
4-Preparation of required reports; coordination and attending meetings with the client and preparation of presentations for various project stages.
5-Using of traffic related softwares to evaluate different types of traffic facilities (signalized intersections, unsignalized intersections, roundabouts, freeways, multi lane roads, weaving section, ramps ….etc.) such as Vissim, Synchro, HCS, HiCAP, ASSIDRA, Arcady.
6-Coordination with the road design team to verify and matching between the output of traffic study and the proposed road design alternatives.
7-Shared in preparation of some traffic manuals for Riyadh Municipality and Ministry of Regional and Rural Affairs (MOMRA).
