(1) Review the MEP coordination drawings submitted by the contractors at each stage of the Construction to ensure completeness, correctness and compliance with the scope of work and agreements requirements.
(2) Advise the Mechanical Department Manager of circumstances that may or will affect delivery of long lead items related to his discipline and remedial measures, subject to the approval of the Client.
(3) Coordinate the discharge of MEP Contractors obligations as defined in the Construction Agreement and all external influences likely to affect
delivery on a daily basis.
(4) Coordinate the discharge of MEP Consultants obligations as defined in the consultancy agreements.
(5) Manage liaison by the Mechanical Department team with relevant statutory authorities and utility providers.
(6) Review the Request for Information (RFI), change requests / variations submitted by the contractors.
(7) Supervise the contractor's work execution in addition to checking the (WIR) work inspection requests and (MIR) material inspection requests submitted
by the contractor.
(8) Review the MEP material submittals submitted by the contractors making sure they are in accordance to specifications and agreements requirements.
(9) Carry out construct-ability review during the design and construction stages.
(10) Review in a timely manner the design consultant / contractors submittals and forward comments to the Mechanical Department manager.
(11) Ensure the design consultant / contractors incorporate the comments raised from previous stages.
(12) Attend technical meetings with the design consultant and other sub-contractors, contractors, and company team.
(13) Review contractor / sub-contractor's proposed project organizations and related CV's and report to Mechanical Department manager.
My duties and responsibilities were:
1. Draft, review and revise detailed mechanical engineering drawings by using AutoCAD for several types of mechanical works such as the Mechanical plans and (PIDs) piping and instrumentation diagrams.
2. Review the technical specifications, BOQs and evaluate technical quotation submitted by the suppliers.
3. Generally responsible for implementations and monitoring of all mechanical related works at site as per approved drawings and methods and safety rules.
4. Prepares and assigns the resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, etc., required for all Mechanical and related works prior to execution.
5. Interprets construction drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any jobs.
6. Manages directly and provide engineering and technical supports to all the Mechanical work groups at site.
7. Plans the execution of all Mechanical related works and coordinates the works to Electrical and civil groups.
8. Assign KPIs and their targets for accomplishments and ensure targets of the KPIs are met for all Mechanical groups at site.
9. Submits site daily reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on regular basis or as required.
10. Supports the MEP Manager in accomplishing all the goals and targets for the Mechanical groups at site.
11. Ensures that all the works done are in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national or international standards.
12. Ensures that all site works are done according to all applicable quality standards.
13. Directly responsible for the safety of all Mechanical groups’ personnel of the project by ensuring that the project execution will be done according to all applicable health, safety, sanitary and environmental standards.
14. Carrying out all Mechanical Works and equipments installation activities
15. Attends regular meeting with client, civil engineers and consultant to provide update on project progress.
16. Pre-resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems at site that may arise at any time
17. To collaborate with cost control and planning department in preparing the daily progress reports
• Designs mechanical systems which are CHWpiping, plumbing & sewage, HVAC.
• Co-ordinates with other departments for all project stages including concept design, preliminary design, detail design and approval.
• Follows-up with the updated requirements from departments for implementation.
• Participates in project discussions with departments
• Draw using AutoCAD.
• Conducts sites visits and assessment, as required to execute design work.
• Keeps records and documents for projects handled.
SPECIAL AWARDS AND HONORS:- Got the 2nd rank on the kingdom in the achievement exam 2007-2008, with a percentage rank of 99%.
