Role responsibilities:
•Evaluate field safety conditions through audit/monitoring, advice company management on findings. Report and assist in the control of environmental hazards as mandated. Maintain current MSDS of company hazardous chemicals. Communicate Client HAZCOM information to field staff as mandated. Review and advise Management of worker credentials. Maintain, control, inventory PPE and equipment. Train field workers (potential operators) to qualify for licensing. Administer field tests to employees Ensures that regulated tools and equipment are currently inspected and in good order. Lecture employees to obtain compliance with regulations. Monitors field conditions to inform management of field safety performance. Documents and reports to management of supervisor and worker compliance. Implements and monitors emergency action plans. Investigates accidents and prepares accident reports Advise supervision of site specific policies and procedures. Work as a liaison with client representatives, site safety teams, company personnel to achieve site and project safety goals
•Exposure to cold working conditions during winter months and to hot working conditions during summer months, exposure to noise - workers must wear protective hearing equipment or frequently shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level. Exposure to pollutants or allergens which can adversely affect the skin and/or the respiratory system such as gases, smoke, odors, mists, fumes, dust, chemicals, oils or solvents, exposure to hazardous working conditions including moving machinery, electricity and/or working in high places. The job requires the use of protective equipment such as hard hats, respirators, aprons, gloves, special clothing, safety shoes and safety glasses.
•The job involves continuous work that cannot be easily or economically interrupted for breaks except at regularly scheduled intervals or at the completion of an assignment.
