- Maintaining a system of controls over operations and financial transactions, as well as ensuring financial ledgers and accounting processes are accurately preserved.
- Ensuring the design of policies and procedures adequate for achieving the banks goals and objectives.
- Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, including their policies and procedures, control systems, and transaction-processing operations.
- Work with auditors and examiners during regulatory compliance examinations.
- Preparation of Bank Return Forms (BRF) required by the Central Bank of UAE.
- Ensure that the bank adheres to all Central Bank regulations including researching, assessing, and monitoring new developments and updating bank personnel in a timely manner.
- Reporting daily liquidity ratios.
- Comply with banking regulations and laws.
- Maintain the chart of accounts.
- Plan and perform operational and financial audits to ensure that financial statements are fairly presented in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Perform the understanding of the business and documenting / updating the operating cycles.
- Perform tests of internal controls to ensure their effectiveness.
- Assesses compliance with financial regulations and controls, and perform substantive testing of account balances to determine reasonableness.
- Examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
- Prepare and present to management reports on audit findings, and material misstatements of financial information or severe control deficiencies, as well as providing recommendations on improving these shortcomings in the future.
