As the head of IT section, I am responsible for the following responsibilities:
Provide leadership in specific technical areas of competence i.e. emergency telecommunications, Information Technology (IT) operations, applications development management, business relationship building and management. Design and manage deployment of Electrical, IT and Telecommunications systems and applications including budgeting and planning in accordance with IRD corporate standards. Integrate IT and Telecommunications systems and applications to ensure appropriate data security and access controls considering both local and wide area network issues. Ensure all IRD offices and staff have adequate connectivity with maximum availability and minimized down time. Adapt corporate IT standards, policies and guidelines for CO and sub offices. Understand and coordinate the implementation of contingency plans, corporate IT policies and guidelines in IRD Karachi.
