Currently handling Imports & local purchase activities of the company assisted by the Procurement team
Involve in pre-qualifying local vendors and negotiating prices, payment terms and delivery terms
Negotiate and co-ordinate with suppliers & partners to get best quality and best price
Manage all operations of procurement ensuring pre-set objectives of the company are achieved with strict adherence to quality, productivity, stock requirement
Conduct market study in terms of products, supplier databases and risk mitigation to identify / track competitive pricing structures and risks involved
Evaluate suppliers through score carding and negotiate & co-ordinate with them / partners to get best quality and best price
Negotiate and select suitable service providers (freight & clearing agents)based on comparison of quotations and other criteria offered by different providers
Ensure smooth execution of orders and importing with the help of reliable and competitive freight and clearing agents
Deal with Customs & Port Authorities, in case consignments are held up at the port, due to any reason.
Prepare periodical reports on order status, costs, payments and shipments of consignment.
Monitor team activities and progress of team members by conducting regular meetings, which also helps to groom the individuals
Worked in the Remittance and Savings counter
Spearheaded the Children’s Garments division
Liaised with exporters in India and with importers in Holland
Involved in inspecting the material at the site and giving a final go-ahead for shipping of the same
Completed Masters in Business Economics and stood second in the university.
