A 3-year USAID-funded program to provide grants and technical assistance to eligible companies in the renewable energy sector to support effective private sector delivery to scale up renewable energy solutions that contributes to Government of Senegal targets to increase access of underserved areas to clean, reliable and affordable energy.
Support SURE Senegal- a 4 million USD project, to design and implement grant windows and technical assistance to upscale the PUE solutions in the off-grid areas. The grant windows are intended to: i) implement a Result-Based Financing (RBF) model for scalable business models to deploy solar pumping solutions among small-scale farmers located in remote areas and; ii) promote the use of renewable energy technologies in the processing and storage of agricultural products in the off-grid areas in Senegal, targeting women and youth.

A 4-year donor programme funded by UK-FCDO to implement the Compact Energy Africa to support governments and private across 14 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa to address the barriers that impede the energy transition of vulnerable communities to clean and affordable energy.
Developed a strategy and activity plan for interventions to support government’s strategies and private sector to develop off-grid energy in Senegal, including high quality Terms of References (ToR) to ensure effective, timely and high-quality delivery of interventions and deliverables in Senegal. Also, liaised key the FCDO local office with key stakeholders, including Ministry of Energy, other government authorities, local off-grid industry association, ACE TAF partners, and donors/implementing agencies. In collaboration with key stakeholders, led the development for the Government of Senegal and private sector the following deliverables:
- Importation and Value-Added Tax Exemption Guide for Off-Grid Solar Products and Systems in Senegal
- Gender and Social Inclusion (GESI) Strategy to Support the Government of Senegal National Action Plan for Gender Integration in Energy Access (PANGE)
- Roadmap for the Adoption and Enforcement Process of Quality Standards of Stand-Alone Systems in Senegal for The National Electrotechnical Committee (CEN-Sen)
Support the Team of Short-term Technical Assistance provided by the Manufacturing Africa program that aims to address key barriers that impede the development of the C&I solar, make recommendations to be captured in the upcoming implementing laws of the new legislation in the electricity sector, and propose appropriate financing mechanisms for the upscale of C&I solar in Senegal.

Developed more than 50 rooftop solar projects for residential and commercial customers, including solar pv and solar thermal solutions in urban and peri-urban areas. Developed projects that gave access to clean energy to more than 500 rural households through Stand-Alone Solar (SAS) systems. Monitored the deployment of 200 Pay-As-You-Go SHS to give access to 800 low-income consumers in Senegal and the region to clean and affordable energy located in remote areas. Monitored a training programme of 25 local technicians to install and maintain SHS.
