Azure BI Data Analyst
I am a part of MEA (Middle East Africa) cloud investment team. Key function is to better evaluate the investment put in multiple projects which results in optimized reallocation of existing budget in Gulf. Data Analysis and modelling is done using Power BI, MS EXCEL and SQL.
• Analytics & Reporting of regional sales and consumption data using Power BI, SQL, PowerPivot, PowerQuery, DAX etc.
• Data Extraction, Processing & Interpretation to prepare insights for business in Azure
• Creating dashboard (Azure Grid, EA Renewals etc.) using Excel, Power BI, MS Access to track the Azure consumption
• Preparing scorecard to drive Azure consumption
• Tracking ECIF projects in Gulf and preparing interactive reports to keep a record of their execution status
Worked as “Big Data Engineer”, Intern. I went through training in Tableau, Hadoop, Cloudera, Open Semantic Search etc.
• I worked on data analysis and retrieval of images using feature extraction techniques. Images consist of large amount of data in the form of pixel intensities; hence, I worked on various machine-learning techniques like classification, clustering and similarity measure etc. in MATLAB for analysing large chunk of image data.
• Proposed new feature extraction techniques, 3D multichannel Local Patterns and 3D multichannel Dominant Local Patterns which integrates color, texture, spatial and temporal information. It is used in texture image retrieval, facial expression recognition etc. It was evaluated on three benchmark databases for CBIR and showed significant improvements as compared to other state of the art techniques.
Completed training in ASP.NET, C# with grade A+. Developed a website “Swap and Sell” to provide a free bartering platform for members to give away items they no longer need and to receive points in return and with these points, they can buy items they want.
