* Oversee the implementation of safety department functions in regard to auditing, training, incident investigation, company’s
HSE policies, procedures and methods designed to drive the Company’s culture and meet the Company’s standards and goals
* Manage the overall direction and coordination of 4 divisions by identifying and approving safety project plans, contractual
agreements, schedules, activities, and milestones to ensure a balance between productivity and the safety of team members,
sub-contractors, and visitors in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in coordinate with Human Resources.
* Monitor and oversee and execute all work required for all environmental permits and licensing for the Al-Futtaim Engineering
Qatar Operation. Provide technical and general supervision to operations through interpretation of Company practices and
procedures in relation to current legislation and regulations.
* Compliance with all Company & Client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices
hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH and ensuring the staff under him/her are following the requirements.
* Conceptualizing, implementing and administrating safety measures for Qatar Operation which includes the 4 Divisions.
* Liaising with Divisional Heads and Team to ensure that adequate safety advice can be provided to the project core activities.
* Leads the Third Party HSEQ Audit Process (Client, Certification Bodies, etc.)
* Assuring that the responsibilities of the safety department are discharged within various division and project in Qatar.
* Approving Critical lifting plans in accordance with BS BS7121 Standards.
* Leading the inspection of labor accommodation in accordance with Qatar resolution No-17 of 2005 and QCS-2014.
Accomplishments:
* Recognized for delivering outstanding performance and achieving 03 million Safe
Man-hours with no lost time injuries in one of the prestigious project in Qatar
where all critical lifting and dragging carried out (7x heavy duty chillers weight 40
Tons, 5 Km underground 1000 dia of chilled water network, construction on 10 big
underground tanks and Valve chambers 11Kv substation, and energization of 11 Kv
temporary and permanent power supply.
* Pivotal in streamlining processes through measures such asIMS (Integrated
Management System) procedure.
* Played a key role for managing 11Kv. Temporary and Permanent power.
* Reviewing the Authority to Proceed (ATP) for all Pre/Commissioning of heavy
machineries, chillers and cooling towers.
