• Direct/ indirect procurement for the shipyard and offshore/ onshore projects and report to the Senior Manager PSC/ General Manager Operations of a $500M business unit/ shipyard.
• Managed direct reports in procurement (Buying, Sourcing and Expediting) and oversaw other functional areas; logistics and warehousing.
• Assisted Senior Manager for forecasting and demand planning on the bulk products and fast-moving items

Project: New build self-propelled and elevating Lift Boat (USD 90 million) - Job involves right from sourcing, conversion of Purchase requisition to order, follow up of material and payment realization of vendor.
• Sourced and procured 60+ engineered long lead equipment’s & materials including spare materials on a timebased project schedule/ yard requirement.
• Prepared project specific vendor list, tender documents for procurement to ensure compliance with project requirement & company guidelines & coordinating the evaluation process of offers/tenders, submitting and defending the evaluation conclusions.
• Arranged Pre-award technical meetings involving the Engineering/ Project Manager and Supplier representatives to freeze the technical requirement.
• Conducted price and commercial negotiations of contractual terms and conditions to optimize the purchases within the budgeted amount.
• Expedited the internal stake holders for the timely review, approval and return of engineering data submitted to initiate the purchase order/ manufacturing process by the supplier.
• Contractual risks analysis and ensure that all risks are identified, advising on their impact, recommending mitigating actions to resolve them and proposing dispute resolution.
• Oversaw third party inspection, expediting and logistics operations.
• Ensured the milestones, major change orders, negotiation of contractual provisions within purchase orders, service agreements, claim management and amendments comply with company and contractual guidelines.

• Procurement of all kind of valves, piping materials, equipment& spares related to new build and refurbishment projects
• Lead interaction/co-ordination between Vendors, Engineering and Proposals Team • Inviting Techno-Commercial offers for various engineering goods as per specifications from approved vendors.
• Initial screening of Commercial and Technical specification based on the project requirements. Tabulation of Techno-Commercial offers from vendors and preparation of suitable economical tabulation and preparation of Purchase Orders.
• Development of new & existing vendors, assessing vendor’s capacity to develop as a prospective vendor. Vendor rating system for assessment of vendor in terms of their capacity and quality of material.
• Member of Cost-Reduction team engaged in value engineering in close co-ordination with Engineering Department & Vendors.
• Working cross functionally across internal departments (Logistics, Expediting, Projects, Accounts and Finance) to ensure successful delivery schedules.
