• Responsible for the control of all laundry and linen items which includes staff uniforms and to provide constant update to the Laundry Manager / Executive Housekeeper.
• Ensure that the linen/laundry work and distribution area are clean and kept tidy during the shift this is to include uniform storage, linen storage and guest laundry storage.
• Ensure that all linen is in perfect condition, correctly ironed and stain free and all linen, towels and mats are correctly stored hung or folded according to the required standard.
• Ensure to check any damages on guest laundry before processing.
• Check all pockets to see any valuable items or money left in the garments.
• Ensure all laundry with correct room number and guest name..
• Inspect guest room linen while sorting, check for any guest belongings. Perform the sorting by item wise and record a proper count of each item, verify the count upon receiving from the external laundry. If any discrepancy report accordingly to the Laundry Manager.
• To be aware of Health and safety regulations of the laundry.
• Maintain records of all damaged items which are not re-usable and report the same to the Laundry Manager.
• Report any valuables found in linen or laundry items of guest or staff directly to the Laundry Manager/Office coordinator
• Directly control, check and coordinate all documentation, reports and information as required or requested by the Laundry Manager/Executive Housekeeper
