I am responsible for HC department that consists of 4 sections and 8 units, employs 28 staff, 5 of them report directly to my positions and together we are responsible for managing the welfare of 900 employees.

My roles and responsibilities include:

 Develop HR Strategies, objectives, execution plans, and oversee implementation of different organizational development programs that support organizational strategic goals.
 Oversee and develop manpower, and yearly budget needs.
 Manage and support integrations within the HR functions to enhance and complement.
 Develop and launch new initiatives inspired by best practices, the preferred employer target objectives, and outcomes derived from internal surveys.
 Support my direct reports, and monitor our success through 4 key indicators.
 Timely recruitment.
 Delivery of training on time with high percentage of attendance and positive feedback.
 Engaging staff services, operating on the principle of quick response and satisfactory conclusions.
 Development and update of comprehensive policies and procedures manuals.
 Work with QM leadership so as to ensure optimum support is provided and cooperation is given on timely basis on issues regarding implementation of policies and procedures, safety of the workforce, recruiting and hiring high-performing employees and labor, legislative and other human resources issues.
 Submission of regular management reports.
 Meet and coordinate with senior members in the relevant government agencies.
 Ensure compliance with governance regulation and parameters related to employment, staff welfare, general government and organization of conduct.
 Provides guidance to management regarding grievance and disciplinary issues.
 Taking the leadership role in developing a culture that enables employees to perform in accordance to QMs’ objectives.
 Held responsible for handling multiple duties of Security Director and HR Director from May 2017 to July 2018.

Director of Security at QATAR MUSUMES

 Responsible for the leadership, innovation, governance and management necessary to identify, evaluate, mitigate and monitor the company's operational and strategic security risks.
 Ensure Risk Management tools, practices and policies are developed to analyze and report risks and to manage risks according to a risk management framework.
 Ensure the organization's risk management policies and strategies are in compliance with applicable regulations.
 Direct and oversee all operational risk management activities within the organization.
 Direct the formation and implementation of internal Security control procedures and ensure compliance by examining records, reports, operating practices and documentation.

Head of Security at QAPCO

 Manage all security works for QAPCO and QATOFIN companies.
 Act as Health, Safety and Environment Manager during HSE Manager’s absence (Covering Health, Safety, Environment and Security).
 Supervise, direct and control the activities of assigned personnel in the Security Section (Direct 6, Indirect 11 & contractor 15) and ensure that all security procedures are properly followed and implemented.
 Supervise and monitor the operation of Access Control System (LENEL) to ensure the availability and issuance of employees and contractors access cards. Issue/reissue/withdraw badges for designated personnel, assign access levels, and activate/ deactivate access to certain readers and/ or locations, and designing the access badges.
 Supervise the operation of the CCTV system, carry out technical inspection and propose any improvement required.
 Improve and enhance MIC gate pass procedures and coordinate with neighboring firm in gate passes issues and coordinate with MIC in solving matters concerned with gate passes, Internal security and crimes that occur within QAPCO premises.
 Perform other similar or related duties such as Emergency response, security drills, attending meetings on security matters inside or outside the Company and maintain contact with neighboring firms in connection with job requirements.
 Full involvement in tendering process issues related to security contracts, preparation of scope of work and necessary criteria, tender document study, finalize technical evaluation and follow up contract implementations.
 Prepare staff appraisal, training needs, section KPI and section yearly budget.
 Active involvement in company expansions, Shutdowns and Inauguration ceremonies, coordinate with all concerned parties internally and externally and propose/ arrange additional security measures as required.
 Carry out security risk assessment to identify security threats, associated risks and propose corrective action.
 Conduct internal Audits and participate in external audits.

Security Supervisor at QAPCO
  • Qatar - Doha

 Supervise and coordinate security activities such as access, exit control and monitoring, and vehicle and personnel checks.
 Improve and maintain guard house and equipment in good condition and ensures that all materials, clothes and supplies required by the section are made available.
 Supervise and direct the process of issuing gate passes for company employees, contractors and visitors.
 Investigate vehicle violation/ accidents inside QAPCO premises, analyze and take appropriate actions.
 Issue instructions to Security Men according to the job circumstances.
 Follow up on attendance of Security Men.

Control Panel Operator at QAPCO

 Operate and control panel instrumentation, governing the following utilities and processing units from the control room to produce specified output consistent with plant operating requirements; heaters, heat exchangers, pumps engines, instrument air, fuel and water cooling system, chemical injection, blowers, compressors, reactors, chillers, feed water production and distribution, sea water and fresh water cooling systems, air, fuel oil and fuel gas systems and nitrogen and product treatment units.
 Monitor and maintain a continuous check of the operation of the plants and auxiliary equipment by reading and inspecting indictors and recording instrument readings to ensure that such equipment is operating within specified limits.
 Prepare or ensure the preparation of shift log sheet by entering such operating data as feed and production rates, temperatures, pressures, production and flow rates.
 Take action during plant emergency or on sudden change in operating situation.
 Ensure compliance with safety and operating procedures which include following up and checking log sheets prepared by field and Outdoor Operators.

Field Operator at QAPCO
  • Qatar - Doha
  • January 1998 to January 2000

 Fill the log sheets at regular intervals during the shift that include recording levels, temperatures, and pressures so that any abnormal situations can be identified in any part of the assigned area.
 Carry out a complete check of the unit at specified intervals which include touring the assigned plant area and checking for any abnormalities such as low oil levels, high temperature of bearings, gas leaks, and abnormal noises and informing the supervisor if required. Record information for follow up by the succeeding shift as necessary.
 Prepare a variety of liquid or solid chemicals for use in the process or assigned utilities according to the degree of concentration required that include measuring quantities and taking samples to laboratory as necessary.
 Carry out various instructions received from the Panel Operator or Supervisor during the shift that include such duties as changing over pumps or driers, isolating equipment and verifying measurements.
 Take action in abnormal plant situations under the direction of the panel operator or supervisor which include shutting down or starting up plant using standard procedures, and taking action on specific instructions received.
 Provide back-up support for maintenance work that include isolating equipment.
