• Development and review of policies providing consistent and documented processes to achieve the company's core business strategies through risk reduction.
• Conducting comprehensive risk analysis of departments and branches.
• Recommending appropriate risk management interventions and assisting with implementation of risk management recommendations.
• Development of new controls and enhancement of existing ones in order to mitigate risks and ensure operational efficiency.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Preparing and presenting quarterly risk reports to the Risk Board Committee.
• Creation of a risk aware culture through training and use of a risk champions network.
Internal risk valuation analysis and management.
Monitoring internal processes for quality and
improvement.
Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and
risk for adequate escalation procedures.
Participate in development, documentation and review
of departmental policy documents.
Data retrieval, analysis and consolidation for use in the Actuarial Valuation Report
Maintenance of general ledger reconciliation for payroll accounts.
Update weekly cash flows.
Capturing vendor invoices in the system.
Liaise with procurement and others to make sure that services are obtained for payments made in advance.
Bank reconciliations.
Receipting, collection and banking of premium and other payments.
Computation and payment of commission to agencies.
Petty cash management.
Credit management by ensuring timely payment by debtors.
Ensuring all bank transactions are accurately and timely processed into the accounting system.
Maintaining a clear and consistent filing system.
Compile information for internal audits as required.
Advising customers on the products and services provided.
