Supervising students and their activities inside and outside the classroom. This includes hallways, cafeterias, locker rooms, school grounds, playgrounds. I help to maintain order and report or remove students whose behaviour is unsafe or disruptive. Take attendance and locate students who are on campus but not in their assigned classrooms. Issue passes to students who are tardy for classes. Guide visitors and answer general questions and give directions. Use a two-way radio for communication.
Provide leadership and administration. Directly responsible to the superintendent of the department as well as the curriculum and instruction.
Provide the best possible opportunities for students’ growth and development, both educationally and personally. Supervise staff members and all regular instructional assigned to the department.
Develop a yearly action plan for staff members to be aware of expectations.
Generate an improvement plan to highlight students’ weakness and strength and find resolutions to enhance their progress socially, emotionally and cognitively.
Developing and administrating the general school routine and coordinate all the activities within the department.
Participating in the selection of new teaching personnel. Observing, counseling, and motivating professional staff toward performances to attain the educational common core standards.
Continually evaluating existing programs and practices as well as curriculum content.
Maintaining a standard of student behavior designed to command respect and resolve students’ behavioral problems.
Encouraging and initiating continued improvement in curriculum and teaching methods.
Identifying intellectual, physical, social, emotional needs affecting students’ progress and taking steps to direct and coordinate the efforts of teachers and parents.
Planning and submitting annual budget needed.
Maintaining effective communication to keep staff, students, and parents properly informed.
Attending and directing staff members to attend professional conferences, seminars, and workshops in education.
Performing all other acts reasonable and necessary to accomplish my primary function as requested by the superintendent.
Planning to help each student achieve learning objectives and curriculum goals, prepare lesson materials and resources, select and use instructional methods and materials appropriate to the students and learning activities.
Utilize games, music, books, art, technology and other resources to teach basic skills and foster students’ development.
Adapt standard teaching methods to meet different students’ needs and interests and create a positive environment for learning.
Develop and implement a suitable classroom management system.
Instruct children on personal hygiene practices and selfcare.
Encourage cooperative social behavior through games and activities.
Observe, evaluate and record students’ social and academic progress.
Provide constructive feedback to parents, guardian, and administration.
Prepare and distribute written reports.
Collaborate with other staff members to promote the general health of the school.
Perform required overall duties and uphold the school code of conduct and all school policies, rules and procedures in a supportive and positive manner.
