-Assist teachers in imparting instruction by providing students with instructional support.
-Assist teachers in developing and implementing learning activities and supervise group activities.

• Define the organizational structure and the staffing of the laboratory section with its corresponding designation covered with an authority to carry out its respective functions;
• Prepares the Quality Management System manual, Standard Operating Procedures and Written Instructions for the operations of the laboratory;
• Conduct technical review of the test methods and update if necessary;
• Administers the technical staff for quality control unit in conduct of microbiological, physical and chemical analyses for fish and fishery products for local consumption and export to other countries;
• Oversees the Document Control Officer in managing all documents as well as carrying out customer services including review of contracts and complaints that is address through corrective action;
• Manages the procurement of laboratory supplies and services such as calibration, maintenance and repair of equipment;
• Develops improvement plan both administrative and technical aspects; and
• Prepares reports/memoranda/office orders/letters needed in executing the said activities and coordinates with other units to achieve its vision.
• Analyzes fish and fishery products for physical and chemical analyses such histamine, freshness indices like total volatile base-nitrogen and trimethylamine-nitrogen, etc… for food safety for domestic consumption and export to other countries;
• Analyzes water samples for physical and chemical analyses for drinking and industrial water;
• Analyzes pond, river and sea waters for fish health management;
• Conduct disease surveillance and monitoring of aquatic animal diseases;
• Analyzes water samples for Plankton Count Enumeration for Harmful Algal Bloom;
• Analyzes fish samples for ciguatera toxin;
• Analyzes fish samples for cyanide content; and
• Do all the computations and prepares the reports of analyses
-Analyzes live food and tropical fishes for cyanide content for domestic and export.
-Analyzes water and other substances suspected to contain cyanide.
-Handles, calibrates and maintain the different equipment for the analysis.
-Computes results, prepares and signs certificates of analysis.
-Teaches chemistry subjects both theory and practice.
-Prepares the students' grades.
-Submits all the required reports to the management.
Master in Public Administration (MPA) is a graduate program designed to equip students with administrative and management concepts and theories useful in formulating solutions to problems associated with public and nonprofit administration. It also aims to enhance students’ research capability in the areas of public administration, policy formulation and analysis, development management, budgeting and financial resource management, human resource development and contemporary issues in public affairs management. Students under the MPA program are exposed to current issues in public administration as well as to the practical application of various skills and techniques in the field. The program is inter-disciplinary drawing from both business and economics. There are two types of graduate programs under the Master in Public Administration degree: MPA – Thesis option: The thesis option provides researchers, teachers and professionals with an advanced education in public administration and governance. The degree is awarded upon completion of 30 units of prescribed courses with a specific weighted average and the submission of a master's thesis. MPA - Non-thesis option:: The non-thesis option provides students with theoretical background and technical skills needed for the effective implementation of public policy in a developing country. To qualify for the degree, a student must successfully complete 36 units of formal course work, obtain a specific weighted average in all courses taken, and pass a comprehensive examination after completing the 36 units.
