Roads Project Engineer, Manager – Traffic Engineer

I completed two contracts of repairs and maintenance for Doha roads and manholes depressions including the utilities maintenance (1/2015/25-1/2015/26) with values around <15 Million AUD>.In addition, I did some other management works of EAMS besides doing inspections (If needed), approving the Invoices, reviewing the reports, and submitting the reports to the director. Moreover I supervised and involved with many multinational companies and consultants works for parts of time like AMEY, KBR, Parsons, AECOM, Atkins, CCC, Samsung, Hyundai…etc.
I also worked as a Traffic Engineer to review and approve the traffic diversions plans (that were submitted by same mentioned companies and holds the meetings with them) and follow up the compliance team. The approval stage completed according to the Work Zone Traffic Management guide (WZTMG).
Roles and Responsibility:
Ensure that any works undertaken by external suppliers comply with their contractual obligation and they adhere to health, safety and quality requirements.
Prepare and supervise the development of all routine and preventative maintenance plans and projects for roads projects.
Assist in the production of drawings and other information-produced to various scales and levels of detail, dependent on purpose-internal review, planning approvals, construction issue approvals, consultations, adoption procedures, etc.
Assist in the production of information, calculations, quantities, specifications related to roads engineering works for preparing a solution.
Allocate tasks to other members of the team and report to the senior engineer on resources and work issues.
Undertake all works in accordance with Health Safety Environment and Quality (HSEQ) standards to ensure best practice and quality of works.
Assist senior engineer to review maintenance designs, requirements and ensure they are appropriate and meet the expected levels of technical excellence within roads operations & Maintenance.
Review and approve the Work Zone Traffic Management for the traffic diversion plans and the drawings.
Ensure that the contractors comply with the WZTMG, Management, Risk and Safety plans.

Reduced contractor claims and variations by closely monitoring the contract.

I have been involved in these projects as part of times to speed up some in the beginning like (C-59) or to overcome the great delay to avoid the penalty of passing the deadline like Al Hamdaniya project. I was I engaged with international consultants companies were as Parsons, Fluor …etc.
Roles and Responsibility:
Track and manage key project milestones to ensure timely delivery by creating/coordinating project schedules and ensuring regular and accurate updates of project schedules through MS projects, that drive individual area milestones, from RFIs (Requests for inspection) to the Invoices approval,
Manage deliverables by external sub-contractors to ensure quality standards, schedules and budget levels are being met.
Coordinate the creation of the site development budget and ensure the approved budget reflects the current project plan.
Instructing supervisors & crew at site to achieve work and compaction tests as per specification.
Preparing measurements after work and compare with asphalt quantity supplied.
Implementing ISO procedures for whole section to achieve total quality of satisfying & exceeding customer expectation & to work towards continuous improvement.
Supervising work on sites and surveyors to perform works as per approved designed drawings from the client.
Designing drawing in coordination with drafters when needed (if designed by GAC).

Reduced construction non-conformity to level of client’s requirement.

Site Engineer then Project Engineer for the contract of Asphalt pavements and lighting the streets of Mecca and the province of Al Jmom and Usfan contract (69) .
Roles and Responsibility:
Overall execution of site management responsible for all project procurements and approvals, Manage and coordinate all works activities between subcontractors.
Coordinate activities between the construction site, Consultant, and Statutory authorities, handling all Project Correspondences.
Design for roads on Landscape programs at the technical office (AutoCAD-Land-Civil3D).
Prepare the weekly works for the surveyors and the inspectors.
Following up sites works, inspectors and survey works to execute as per design drawings.
Utilizing equipment to get maximum output to benefit the company and keep it in good condition.
Preparation of invoices reports and reviewing the inspection requests.
Control sub-contractors performance (if any), review and approve their completed quantities reports and invoices.
Key Achievements:
Effectively launched a new management system.
Got all the works permissions on time and started works as planned.

Dayarb-Negm school buildings and workshops (Execute the Raft Foundation & Columns & Beams & Slabs)
Roles and Responsibility:
Supervise various type of construction, in addition to preparation of shop drawings using AutoCAD for some buildings.
Following up sites works, inspectors and survey works to execute as per design drawings.
Utilizing equipment to get maximum output to benefit the company and keep it in good condition.
Mubarak Housing Project at Zankalon (Constructing six building each one is four floors start from the foundation).
