• Managed the operational transition and closure of Vela’s Dubai Office support services with due to the merger of Vela and Bahri. This included the termination of third party contractor services and the transfer and integration of all employees to the newly merged business entity over a six (6) month period in 2014-2015
• Managed the fit out and ongoing support services for41, 000ft2 office premises in JLT, Dubai, including third party maintenance services for all MEP and Janitorial services. (2010-2015)
• Planned and coordinated the relocation of 100+ employees to new premises within the DMCC Free zone, Dubai (2014)
• Planned and managed the transfer of visas for 150+ employees and licenses from Dubai authorities to the DMCC Free Zone Authority. This involved negotiation with all internal and external stakeholders including the DMCC authorities and the Saudi Aramco legal team. (2010)
• Re-initiated and coordinated the publication of the company-wide bi-annual magazine and the publication and distribution of a company-sponsored children’s book for the promotion of careers at sea. (2010-2013)
• Member of the companies “Culture & Values” taskforce that successfully launched Vela’s 5 core values. This involved coordinating numerous workshops and branding materials to bring the values to life and to promote business wide employee engagement (2012)
Key Achievements
• Established and implemented the office administrative systems and procedures improving quality of service and efficiency for both internal customers and external service providers resulting in an operating cost reduction of 33%.
With a recent transfer to Mideast (a subsidiary of Bahri) after the merger of Vela International Marine Limited and Bahri, I lead the Administrative and Facility support functions for Mideast Ship management and its subsidiaries’ Bahri Oil Transportation and Bahri Gas & Marine Services (200+ employees) including:
• Management of third party Facility Management services for 30, 000ft2 office space
• Manage and Implement quality, health, safety and environmental management procedures and controls whilst ensuring compliance to the applicable Dubai Municipality laws and regulations
• Evaluation and re-negotiation of Mideast’s business and office support contracts
• Manage the financial performance for support services versus set budgets

• Established and grew a personally owned and operated UAE free zone Company to target the UAE relocation services sector. Services included UAE immigration and residency assistance, UAE home and school search as well event coordination.
