My task was dedicated to preparing Gantt & time chainage programme of works and cost analysis for several Tenders in GCC Countries. Amongst the submitted tenders I was involved with: Sheikh Jaber al Ahmad Al Sabah Causeway - Doha Link -RA/214 (Kuwait), Construction of New Road from Industrial City in Musaffah to Hamin Intersecrion at E-11 (Abu Dhabi), Design and Construction of Main Trunk Sewer (Contract MTS-03 & MTS-02) (Doha), Comprehensive Improvement of The Parallel Roads (Contract R881-2A1) (Dubai).

The firm’s assignment was the realization of ramps and bridges (Lot 881/3A) in Dubai. My job was mainly focused on preparing cost control reports and budget monitoring. In this position, my assignment was also to control the project execution and assess measures to recover cost/time.

The firm’s assignment was the realization of a new stretch of the Highway. The project (worth around 400M€) includes the excavation of 4 tunnels with an overall length of about 11, 200 m, 2 viaducts with an overall length of 2, 000 m. Around 5.000 m of the Sparvo Tunnel are being excavated with the Herrenknecht S-574 EPB TBM (diameter of 15.62m) currently the world’s largest earth-pressure-balance (EPB) TBM.
My task in the jobsite was the planning -thus monitoring- of the works, in particular, I gainied experience in assessing: time, manpower and cost of mechanised tunnel boring, along with the traditional traditional tunnel boring technique.
Part of the job involved cost analysis and budgeting, including -on a monthly basis- preparing budget tracking reports.
As planning software I use mainly Primavera, occasionally MS Project.

Planner at Todini Costruzioni Generali

This was a tunnelling project along the main Italian Highway (A1: Bologna-Firenze). The project, worth around 600 M€, comprises 18 km of tunnels and several viaducts. My task was to prepare the program of works (Gantt with Primavera Project Planner) and, on a monthly basis, schedule it in order to track the progress and forecast problems.
During my stay in the Company I spent a month on the assignment: Comprehensive Improvements of the Parallel Roads PROJECT R881/3A CONTRACT 3A in Dubai (worth around 450M AED). My job there consisted in defining the initial planning of the works the Client -Parsons for RTA- required after the contract assignment.

Construction site Development of Idu Industrial Area (Abuja -Nigeria). This project was aimed at building more than 20 km of industrial roads with 8 bridges, deep drainage and sewerage system, electrical and hydraulic facilities.
I prepared the site program of works through the software Primavera Project Planner (after a training course in this project management software) .
I had the task of constantly updating the program in order to give an understanding of the actual vs. planned. I also managed the local/foreign purchase of basic materials (steel, cement, etc…) according to the planned activities. I personally oversaw some local subcontractors of minor activities.
