Key Duties:
•Answer all incoming insurance phone calls and process member requests via telephone and email
•Resolve billing, pharmacy, and medical issues for members
•Educate and provide assistance with referring physicians on how to obtain authorization for patients
•Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data
•Contact insurance companies as required to obtain and enter into the DHPO processing system accurate benefit information, which positively impacts the adjudication process and minimizes rejections
•Re-verify patients eligibility through the insurance portal and check if the insurance is still active from the day patient visited the hospital
•Review patient copayment and match patient's actual bill
•Coordinate with the hospital billers for any discrepancy in the approval copy of the patient
•Coordinate with the Certified Medical coders and Managers if the approval copy needs to be revised in case there are CPT/ ICD-10 code guidelines that were not followed
Key Duties:
•Morning duties and responsibilities include reminding the patient regarding their scheduled appointment through call, SMS or email
•Assisting and calling the clinicians if their patient arrives, absent or running late
•Insurance coverage checking, printing, photocopying, doing doctors' and supervisor request
•Coordinating with the insurance coordinator in regard to insurance coverage of the patient and requesting approval in advance
•Providing with the available time slot for the patient with their respective clinicians
•Billing
