- Prepare reports and design documentation for wastewater, potable water, and storm water infrastructure projects.
- Prepare the necessary Engineering Designs, analyses and computations for wastewater, potable water and stormwater infrastructure projects using appropriate engineering software such as SewerGEMS, SewerCAD, StormCAD, WaterGEMS, and ArcGIS Pro in accordance with clients and/or authorities’ requirements.
- Provide any reports update to the project design managers including clients.
- Coordinate aspects of project submittal and deliverables, reviews, and approvals against contract requirements. Report and advice deviation from the same.
- Perform other job-related duties that may be assigned from time to time.
• Prepare reports and design documentation for wastewater, potable water, and storm water infrastructure projects.
• Prepare the necessary Engineering Designs, analyses and computations for wastewater, potable water and storm water infrastructure projects as per clients and/or authorities requirements.
• Ensure quality and timely delivery of infrastructure projects to AECOM clients.
• Provide any reports update to the projects design seniors and managers including clients when needed.
• Coordinate aspects of projects submittal and deliverables, reviews and approvals against contract requirements. Report and advice deviation from the same.
• Adhere to AECOM Health and Safety and Quality measures including policies.
• Assist in the execution, pursuit, assessment and review of future opportunities for project work and consultancy services.
• Assist the Manager / Senior Engineers or Designates in work coordination with other AECOM teams.
• Maintain good communication and cooperation with all project team members.
• Perform other job related duties that may be assigned from time to time.
• Conducts site investigation/fieldwork for actual conceptualization prior to planning and design stage.
• Review Technical Reports of completed projects and studies to ensure compliance with the necessary guidelines. Ensure the relevant Quality Assurance procedures are followed.
• Prepares Feasibility Studies, Master Plan Reports/Design Reports and Design Criteria for Drainage, Sewer and Water System in line with client’s requirements. Participates in the preparation of the text, calculations, tables, figures and appendices.
• Prepares the necessary Engineering Designs, analyses and computations for utilities and facilities. Prepares Detailed Engineering Design (Civil/Architectural, Electro-Mechanical, and Sanitary) of water supply, sewerage and storm drainage system; and prepares corresponding construction drawings, design report, technical specification, bill of quantities, and tender documents.
• Computes demand projections, pipe sizes, pump heads and capacities, storage volumes and elevations, water flows and qualities and formulating system operations.
• Liaising with various corporate representatives and/or sub consultants for each project component.
• Review Shop Drawings and RFI’s submitted by contractors/clients.
• Assists in preparation of Quantity Estimates/Bill of Quantities and Technical Specifications Reports.
• Involve in project report presentation to both technical and non-technical clients and colleagues.
• Performs other job related duties that may be assigned from time to time.
• Acts as a frontline implementer of the details and provisions on the approved drawings (housing projects), plans, specifications and as the needs arise interpret the context of the blue prints to the Works Foremen and/or Contractors’ Engineers.
• Acts as a Quality Assurance Engineer. Counter check housing component dimensions, squareness and qualities before and/or during installation and make sure that no inferior components and workmanship with respect to the drawings and specifications are installed by Contractors. Issue Notice of Defects or Action Memo as the needs arise and monitor Contractors’ reaction for proper Accomplishment Billing Referencing.
• Monitors Contractors’ Materials, Manpower, and Tools & Equipment inputs and submit reports to the Project Manager for Housing.
• Assist in establishing productivity rates on all aspect of construction by doing time and motion study of each activity which shall be used as reference in future estimating and scheduling. From time to time conduct measurement, counter checks dimensions, monitor and records volume of works for probable corrections on materials cutting lists and BOQ/BOM adjustments.
• Review and evaluation of the contractors’ billing and documents needed in preparation for payment recommendation. Review contractor’s submittal on all related construction issues.
• Prepares Weekly Accomplishment Reports and Status of projects handled.
• Conducts safety inspection on Contractors’ ongoing project. Attends weekly coordination meeting with the Contractors.
• Inspect and monitor projects (Water Distribution and Transmission) during various stages of construction to ensure compliance with MWSI codes and standards. Provide technical assistance to the contractors when needed; manage quality control of materials used and assist in various quality assurance tests such as hydro test and water quality.
• Review and interpret plans, diagrams and contract specifications.
• Conducts regular field inspection of the contractors’ activity during construction and make sure that workmanship and methodology comply with plans and specifications.
• Prepares Daily Accomplishment Reports of the contractors’ on-going project. Monitor and record the status of on-going projects by formulating actual S-Curve based on actual accomplishment, and report discrepancies between the target and actual progress.
• Coordinate projects with and provide information to contractors and other concern departments. Attend weekly coordination meeting, review, discuss and resolve construction issues.
• Enter inspection details and related information onto computer system; update and retrieve information as required; prepares various reports, notices, memos and letters as required.
• Review and evaluation of contractors’ payment/billing requests and adjust any items inconsistent with the actual accomplishment.
• Imposes necessary penalties for non-compliance in the contract. Prepares the Final Contract Cost and Quantities for completed projects.
• Prepare, gather and review all documents necessary for project close-out. Assist the Project Manager in project close-out reports.
