• Prepare purchase order to be submitted to the suppliers.
• Plan and develop systems and procedure in order to meet department productivity and quality goals.
• Ensure high level of professionalism in approaching clients in order to maintain current clients and potential client relationship.
• Ensure proper greeting and rapidity of service in store.
• Ensure proper display of products and relieving store appearance.
• Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the store to include budgets and financial goals.
• Analyze and document business processes and problems; Develop solutions to enhance efficiencies.
• Direct staff in the development, analysis and preparation of reports.
• Responsible for staff scheduling in coordination with the human resources department to include: work assignments, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
• Assist staff to resolve complex or out of policy operation problems.
• Schedule and conduct department meetings.
• Work with department managers to develop business plans.
• Take part in yearly inventories of their departments (preparations, process and variance report study).
• Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate staff.
• Ensure fair application of policies and procedures.
• Process the "ouverture" before store opening and "clôture" after store closure.
• Operate necessary transactions such as: limit control, provide cashiers with exchange and coins, make up for absences)
• Supervise the register closing as defined in the cash protocol policy (count the cash & compare it to prelevement report, check if all invoices are attached, etc…)
• Oversee the profitability and functioning of the store.
