-Assists the design process, and understand how buildings are constructed
-Performs engineering analysis, calculations, and recommendations of various structural systems,
components, and connections
-Updates construction documents to reflect needed changes supplied by supervising engineers
-Apply engineering theory, design principles, and mechanics to various problems while preparing
research, reports, calculation packages, design drawings, and presentations to communicate
solutions
-Prepares and analyze test plans, reports, and data analysis of new engineering products while
researching standards to conform to applicable building codes
-Assist in preparing drawings and specifications
-Verifies all the agreements for invoices and assists the civil engineer in reviewing complaints and resolving problems.
-Performs documentation and tracks documents for reports.
-Prepares maps and plans.
-Visits sites to ensure proper installation of products
-Performs physical and chemical tests to assure the quality of construction and facility operations
and ambient conditions.
-Makes an estimation of the cost of materials and read and interpret technical documents
