Marketing and growth strategy planning, recruitment, training and overlooking implementation.
Achieved in 2018 an overall traffic growth of 126%, organic traffic growth of 37%, and total sales growth of 92%. Performing strategic development of all marketing functions to meet our long term and short term objectives with the main focus being the optimization of all digital marketing channels to multiply traffic, optimize the customer journey and maximize conversion rates.
Responsible for the initial launch of Mrsool, the Saudi app, to Egypt. I’ve created the first year’s strategy, forecasts, budget, and built a marketing team. I set directions for the branding, positioning and growth of both supply and demand sides. The functions I’ve managed include Social Media, Performance Marketing, Art Direction, Business Development, CDM, PR, and Offline Marketing.
Formulated a 3-year marketing plan and overlooked the creation of all branding components.

- I designed a signature process for the application of division and functional strategy level actions through a series of related documents and templates.
- I represented the company in startup competitions and NPO activities in support of the local and regional entrepreneurship ecosystem.

In cooperation with an in-house research and development lab, I contributed to the introduction and promotion of a number of digital products across the MENA region and USA. These included a number of patented Arabic language processing applications, a story curation platform (Yahki.com), and a number of mobile applications including physics and strategy games and task management tools.
I overlooked the production of digital content consisting of articles and videos and contributed to the inception of 2 other solutions, a customizable recruitment solution for corporates to be used internally to screen CVs, and a blue collar phone-to-internet applicant recording and screening solution that was implemented with Pepsi and GIZ German Development Agency.
I succeeded to reposition Katameya Heights (a Cairo based luxury compound equipped with a golf course, health and fitness facilities, and multi-cultural restaurants) from being an exclusive VIP hangout to be an attraction to A and B social classes.
Initially I worked on intensive research followed by a marketing plan for the launch of 9 products to Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Emirates, Kuwait, and Lebanon. I then hired a team of 6 marketers to join the team who worked with me later on executing our marketing plan. We were able to hit 100% of our annual sales forecast in the first 6 months. Later on I worked on the branding and launch of a sister brand based on network marketing called B-Zone.
The product range included skin creams, pharmaceutical shampoos, condoms, and a few other cosmetic products.
With a considerable internet limitation at that time, our marketing research was more primary based on interviews and questionnaires.
During the second year we were faced with an anti-Danish products campaign due to a political situation and handled it successfully to pick up the sales shortly and get back to normal performance.
The brand was discontinued a few years ago and I still get messages from people around the GCC asking where they can find Danfrost products.
I contributed to the initial planning of a2zDecor.com, placed the UX requirements, produced all branding and sales material, and launched the platform through an integrated marketing campaign. I was required to follow up with a team of developers at our sister company in India to come up with the final product. I then utilized multiple channels and media to communicate our marketing messages with the public.
I contributed to the plan of a2zdecor.com experience and features to suit a B2B trade portal and not an ecommerce website
I hired a team of 6 between sales and marketing where we planned and executed a marketing campaign for the launch, positioning and branding of a2zdecor.com and formed the initial customer base of early adopters.
Along the 2 years I contributed to 6 international exhibitions, produced 4 product catalogs, engaged with over 70, 000 customers (without social media)
Among other products I contributed to the production and distribution of an educational kids’ games multimedia CD that in one year made over 2.4 million EGP in sales.
