Comprehensive Job Description
• Responsible for providing quality nursing care
• Provides privacy/safety during procedure or examination
• Assisting doctors in each departments perform procedures
• Performs blood collection and intravenous treatments
• Nurse in-charge of Radiology department. Performs IV cannulation for patients undergoing CT scan and MRI with medium contrast. Assess, prepares and monitors patients before, during and after the procedure.
• Provides interventions to patients with minor illnesses without the need for hospitalization.
• In charge of Minor operations and sterilization Department
• Able to assist in minor plastic surgery procedures such: fillers, botox, silhouette, PRP.
• Prepares monthly inventory checklist of medications and other medical supplies
• Able to help in the clinic insurance administration
• Sent for clinic campaigns/promotions to private/government institutions
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Head Nurse and Clinic Manager
• Responding to complaints from patients or their relatives regarding issues with nursing care or the efficacy of treatment regimens
• Assessing general clinic areas to ensure they are kept in hygienic and comfortable state.
Emergency & OPD department:
• Performs triage, while considering both physical and psychosocial elements
• Manages basic life support needs and stabilizes patients until the attending physician is available
• Provides direct care and promotes comfort of client
• Works directly under physicians, assisting them during exams, diagnostic testing and treatments
• Provides IV therapy
• Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications.
• Collaborates with other ER professionals to ensure effective patient care delivery -
• Identifies patients’ conditions and addressed nursing care.
• Acts as a team member/leader to perform ER tasks.
• Assisted in the efficient operation of Emergency Room unit - Performed various medical assignments as required.
• Provides referrals to other healthcare professionals for follow-up treatment
Medical Surgical Unit:
• Provides basic, bedside care
• Makes an accurate assessment and monitors patients in order to identify subtle changes in a patient’s condition that warrants immediate intervention
• Responds to changes in the patient's condition
• Administering medications and monitoring effects
• Doing catheterization of patients and maintaining intake output record
• Displays professionalism while completing multiple urgent tasks in a timely manner
• Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse
• Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
• Provides emotional, intellectual and psychological support to the patient and patient’s family
• Intervenes when the best interest of the patient is in question
Isolation Ward:
• Develops and monitors a process for collecting and analyzing infection control data.
• Assists the hospital Infection Control Committee in drawing up annual plans and policies for infection control.
• Identifies controls and prevents the spread of infectious diseases in health care facilities.
• Participates in research projects addressing Infection Control issues as assigned.
• Conducts regular rounds in all hospital departments to discuss, monitor and follow the infection control practice with staff personnel.
