Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer
• Study the scope of the E&I by going through the SOS and IFC drawings.
• Segregation of E&I scope and align the scope of supply with project schedule.
• Finalizing the crew composition activity wise and assign the targets to concerned supervisors.
• Extracting the information from IFC drawings and build up a material list for procurement.
• Arranging the data sheets from vendor and submit to client for material approval prior to purchasing.
• Submission of Method Statement to client before commencing the work.
• Fabrication of E&I cable tray supports and installation of cable trays as per the IFC drawings.
• E&I Cable Laying from field to Technical Rooms/ Switchgears/ Circuit breakers by keeping in view the standards of cable laying.
• Installation of Lighting System as per the contractor’s drawings and conducting the test as per the hazardous area classifications.
• Installation of Electric Heat tracing System on pipes by using P&IDs.
• Installation of Fire & Gas System in the Technical Room/ Substations/ Field and testing the system as per manufacturer’s specifications.
• Installation of Switchgear Panels, cross wiring between switchgear and I/O Panel.
• Making earth connections to all new installations directly or by using earthing bus bar.
• Installation of PT, TT, LT, PV, SOV, MOV, LG, PI, TI by using P&IDs and Hook-up drawings and after installation making connections from instruments to JBs.
• Performing pneumatic and leakage tests on the instruments before energizing.
• Installation of Power Distribution Panel, DCS cabinets, F&G cabinets, HVAC panel and providing connection from existing UPS & Non-UPS panels.
• Optical Fibre cable laying and splicing works as per the IFC drawing.
• Loop Trouble shooting i.e. from transmitters along with the indicators to Field Junction Boxes, From Field Junction Boxes to Marshalling Cabinets and from Marshalling Cabinets to DCS System Cabinets.

•Preparation of shutdown schedule using Company Organizational Process Assets while keeping in view all Enterprise Environmental Factors.
•Development of Overall Shutdown Management Plan containing all planning data i.e. WBS, Construction Schedule using P6, Schedule Narrative Report to describe all assumption & constraints of the schedule, Resources Mobilization Plans, Organogram, Relevant Registers (Document Control Register (DCR), Procurement Services Register (PSR), Subcontractor Services Register (SSR), Risk Register (RR)), Relevant logs (Issue Log, Change Log, Delay Log), Progress Monitoring System, Reporting System.
•Preparation of site activities as per plan
•Site progress monitoring and set task to assign project Engineers
•Updated progress plan v/s actual
•Maintaining daily progress and report of Planning Manager for update
•Preparation of permit to Work for site team
•Submission of Method of Statement and Job Safety Analysis
•Submission of daily progress report
•Maintaining the weekly and monthly progress reports
•Keeping control on Inventory and coordination with store over tools requirement.
•Coordination with different stake holders over plan progress
•Updating risk register associated with site works
•Identification and monitoring of critical activities.
•Submission of contingency plans for the critical activities.
•Development of Control sheets & progress measurement sheets for Installation of field instruments like FT, PT, Rotameters, ESDVs, JBs etc.
•Subcontractor Management, Client Management for this Fast Track project on day to day basis by Daily Site Coordination Meetings with client & sub-contractor.
•Utilization of Different Project management Tools such as: Two Week Look Ahead plan, Daily Construction Report, Level 4 Plan for critical activities, Recovery Plans.
•Responsible for taking Minutes of Weekly Progress Meeting with client, all sub-contractors and different construction departments.
•Preparation of specific method statements and risk assessment.
Responsibilities:
•Testing and Pre-commissioning of 11 KV Switch gear that includes testing of CTs, Protective relays and Bus Bars
•Testing of 33/11 KV Transformer. Testing Includes Transformer Oil testing,
•Insulation resistance testing, winding test.
•Loop testing of Electrical and Instrument Interface Signals like motor commanding and alarming signals.
•Calibration and Installation of Control Valves (Globe type) for control of level, pressure, flow and temperature.
•Calibration and Installation of Level transmitters, Pressure and Temperature transmitters and indicators, Pressure and temperature gauges, Flow Elements like Orifice Plates, Temperature Elements like RTD's and thermocouples
•Loop Trouble shooting i.e. from transmitters along with the indicators to Field Junction Boxes, From Field Junction Boxes to Marshalling Cabinets and from Marshalling Cabinets to DCS System Cabinets.
•Performed Instrument loop functional checks of all types of loops including multivariable field control loops, Fire and Gas detection and protection loops, Electrical and instrumentation interface loops for motor commanding and alarming signals, and cabinets internal loops for cabinets alarms
•Supervision of miscellaneous field activities like cable laying, cable tray installation (both Ladder and Perforated) and cable termination.
•Troubleshooting of DCS in Marshalling and System Cabinets i.e. Power supply failure, Fan failure and Earth leakage monitoring faults.
•Material approvals and procurement for PowerTech Scope of supply.
