• Lead the operation of the 3 graduate programs (Master in Business Administration, Master in Finance, and Master in Human Resource Management) in terms of registration, admissions, advising, marketing, student recruitment and student services and records.
• Work closely with programs coordinators to develop the road map and strategic initiatives to ensure continued improvement and success of the graduate programs
• Implement OSB graduate activities following university policies and procedures
• Serve as liaison with the Dean, the associate Dean for graduate studies, the programs coordinators and faculty members in activities related to programs development and implementation.
My responsibilities are to:
• Administer the overall IT environment at the school
• Look after installing, maintaining and upgrading the school computing facilities, including hardware and software.
• Administer the local area network, setting security policies using Windows Active Directory, installation and configuration of windows server 2003 and 2008
• Design and update the school’s and faculty members’ web pages
• Design and implement software packages including faculty Information System, Graduate Assistant Contracts, faculty resources
• Assist faculty and staff in meeting their research, teaching computing needs, and daily activities and assist students in various requirements relating to computers, file sharing, wireless connections, printing facility and course management tools.
• Administer computer labs and supervise the lab assistants and technicians.
• Set norms, standards and specifications for hardware and software purchases. Prepare bid documents, evaluate offers and negotiate contracts.
• Plan the yearly budget of major and minor equipment. Prepare automation projects proposals for grant approvals from ASHA and USAID.
• Manage the LAN/WAN of more than 40 interconnected networks.
• Follow up on the deployment of assigned projects and tasks with a team of engineers and technicians.
• Provide technical guidelines for technicians and documentation of projects.
• Conduct thorough studies of the networking requirements and needs of various departments at AUB.
• Install Server and Operating Systems (Novell 3.xx, 4.xx, 5.xx; Windows NT, Windows Server )
• Conduct various network activities, such as: connecting Workstations, Peripheral Devices (Printers, Scanners, Plotters, ..).
• Conduct various maintenance, diagnosis, and replacement activities for devices such as: monitors, power supplies, printers, Media Devices, RAMs, HDs, FDs, and CDs
• Conduct software maintenance on drivers, service packs for operating systems, and application programs used by AUB staff.
• Define, analyze, develop and implement applications for administrative business processes related to non-academic units at AUB
