Fleet equipment & maintenance workshop section head
Duties, Authorities and Accountabilities
1- Establish policies for inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy, light machines and vehicles; scheduling
repairs, assigning and directing activities of service and repair personnel .
2- Release preventive maintenance orders at Section Head level and evaluate notifications and/or preventive
maintenance orders prior to implementation.
3- Follow-up on the projects taken by the Workshop Section and ensure consistency with the expected goals and
targets and monitor the progress of on-going work and provides accurate and meaningful reports.
4- Respond to inquiries from various departmental personnel regarding work orders in progress and those yet to be
initiated. Take immediate actions for emergency and urgent maintenance repairs.
5- Verify vendor proposals and invoices and communicate daily status reports.
6- Assist in developing people, in setting performance targets and objectives, in conducting progress reviews, and in
appraising performance based on actual achievement against targets to drive engagement in contributing to the
department's objectives.
7- Coordinate with the other Department, s to achieve an efficient and effective overall departmental plan.
8- Participate in the development of the Dept's work plans, distribute and follow-up on work activities, projects and programs;
monitor work flow and review work methods and procedures within his scope of work.
9- Participate in the implementation and transformation of policies, procedures, goals and plans into medium- and short-term
plans to ensure internal work development and productivity increase.
10- Carry out other administrative duties such as but not limited to conducting staff meetings, preparing periodic reports,
proposing for plans and programs that will boost the operational and fiscal effectiveness of the Dept.
